BTH, I think a Mass Effect based movie has a ton more potential of being a better movie than a Halo one. How the ME games have been laid out contribute much more to a drama-infused action flick. There already exists the drama between crew-members about a variety of issues; the best action movies aren't all about action all the time. Here, writers and directors can use that material to make a movie that appeals to a broad audience without adding in material that goes completely against the source content.

The Resident Evil movies wasent bad the Deadspace movie was ok so they dont always fail.

There won't be a Shepard. That is the point of it revolving around the Relay 314 Incident/FCW, they don't need to coin a character.

Umm... guys, just so that you're all aware: This is an ANIME movie. It isn't live action.

EA is teaming up with FUNimation and T.O. Entertainment to make an anime movie based on Mass Effect. Much like they did with Dragon Age.


As for plot substance, I'd rather them not step on the toes of the video game's established story. It should be based in the Mass Effect universe but have no direct correlation to the main characters of the video game series. This means that I think Shepard shouldn't be in the movie.

the only way this movie would work is if they tell a story set either during the rachni wars or the krogan rebellions, nothing else that has happened between then and the game's story points was epic enough to have a movie about
