Okay, can we at least get an off-line mode for this game?

As I can see an online game is supposed to be online all the time because of continually patching and balance fixing, well we haven't got one for a year now, so can we please get an off-line mode?

I see no point being on the internet when playing skirmish or the wonderful campaign. And it wouldn't really hurt the game either because we will not get new patches or mod sdk so there's no need to be 'up to date' when connecting to the online servers.

i don´t think this (or any other kind of patching) is ever gonna happen!
...even if you are the only user online...

This please, and it'll favor the servers by reducing the load which means more money saved for EA.

Sorry to burst your troll bubble but EA have told themselves that they will release an off-line mode for this game when necessary. Just thought now after a year maybe that time have come. Though, might be next year instead.

Whilst so many people are still buying the game I doubt that they will patch the game for off-line mode. Besides, whilst the devs are focused on the new game in the works I don't think that there will be any patches for any C&C game until the new game is released. But then I think that it might be a good time to ask as CIRE may talk it over with EA/JVC, and where it possibly might be put on the list of things to do later.

Well they kind of have to if they ever shut the server down unless they want to risk getting a major publicity scandal out of it since you bought the game and can no longer play skirmish or the campaign. I doubt it will happen before that though.

EA told that the same time they promissed more bugfixing!
...wasn´t that apoc who said things about an offline-patch?

You have a good point there.

The constant online requirement is there to prevent the game from being pirated as a form of DRM. Much like ubisoft's and so far it has proven to be working, for both companies right?

Afaik cnc4 was pirated one or two days after release.

Please do not discuss pirating this game or use of any cracks here.

Why don't we brain wash / mind control all the pirates to stop pirating? If only Yuri were real...

TBH, I don't care if it gets an offline mode. In all reality, the offline patch will be like all the other "great" things EA promised us in C&C 4 : a broken promise.
Also, it just doesn't seem to wise for them to do this. 1) The lack of interest in C&C4 2) If we give them this, they'll want new balance patches, new maps, an SDK, etc.

So I rather this be kept another broken promise, then them doing this then not giving us the other stuff, too.

Sorry, my bad. There is a teeny bit of chance that an offline patch might be released. Just look at the box. For all we know it may not happen at all but the chances are still there who knows.

Maybe when the new cnc comes out most of cnc4 players will migrate there. And the inactivity of the server might push EA to shut down the servers to avoid unnecessary maintenance expenses cuz they're like "we want monies and all" and then release a patch (or not).

I still think it's too early to call that. Just wait until the C&C The Second Decade comes out.

and then release a patch (or not).

Well if they dont release a patch they have to recall all the copies of the game that are still in stores so no one can buy them otherwice they would be selling a product that wont work and i bet people would get quite mad so it would be cheaper to just make a offline patch tbh.

It is too early for an C&C4 offline patch as sufficient people are still buying the game and EA will keep the server running. Except for Specials for a few days, the prices today have NOT dropped down to that of TW and KW as seen below on EA's US website, and at other places around the world the price can be more. EA is still making money by keeping the server running and there are people who do want to play with human partners in Co-Op Missions and Multiplayer.

Maybe prices in Sweden are an exception and prices depend on where you are. When Victory Games has released 2 or 3 C&C games maybe then EA might release the Second Decade for $19.99 and include all the following titles.

In UK C&C4 costs more just like in does in the US, and the following from this link at EA.
http://www.ea.com/uk/games?franchise[]=franchise.candc

TW . . . . . £4.99
KW . . . . . £4.99
RA3. . . . . £7.49
Uprising . . £4.99
C&C4. . . . £9.99

Here are prices in Germany and from this link.
http://www.ea.com/de/spiele?franchise[]=franchise.candc

TW . . . . . 10,49€
KW . . . . . 10,49€
RA3. . . . . 13,99€
Uprising . . 6,99€
C&C4. . . . 13,99€

Yes they have 4 copies of C&C4 in stock where 1 is in French. People are still buying the game from $20. In CIRE's topic those who recently bought the game well some do play the missions and who want the bonus mission "Night Moves". On their site I could not find any other C&C game, maybe they do not stock them as their is NO demand by their customers.

for people who say is not necessary for an offline patch or we do not need now please think of those who cant play them because of the freaking online requirement!!!!!!!!.... i bought this game.... and constantly having problem logging in... just give me the error message that "This command requires you to log in".... WTF is this?? i thought EA's server is busy because the game just released......

WELL... for some nostagic feeling for the franchise.... suddenly i feel like playing it just now.... so i reinstall C&C4... just maybe 3 hours ago from writing THIS.... i thought i wont get that again...

BUT, I AM WRONG... i am STILL GETTING THAT ERROR MESSAGE... i felt the system is contradicting... i tried log in with wrong password and it is able to tell me password mismatch... but when i enter the correct one...proceed to choosing a persona to play... there is where the error message came out.... EA.... if you talking about DRM crap thing... why are you able to validate log in data and yet cannot let me proceed to play the game... cant you use validation of login data to authenticate user who bought the game???? i am freaking pissed.... maybe i am the only one who got it or it was my laptop... mind you for your info i just changed my laptop and still having this problem... i tried install to play at my gf's house with my ID (cause she got a i7 975, GTX 275 specs, 12GB ram specs) to try out the performance... i am getting the same results... on and off having this command requires log in error crap... anyone in-charge... moderator or whoever you are who can deliver the message... make an offline patch... if that is too much... make a patch to authenticate real users who bought the game.... whatever data you want to download from server to our game (aka our game data, and anything else), use a background thread to constantly ping the server and download when it is able to... and let us play the game confortably... we may not have unlocked perks in game because of this if we havent got the latest data downloaded... i think maybe is better we can still play the game rather than not playing at all...people may care about the unlocked stuff they have... but they cant play... i dont care about the stuff when i just want to have some fun... and i cant play too... how nice... if at best if you can just let people who want refund this game and stop wasting time on it if you cant deliver the offline thing

 Offline mode please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game mentions "Persistent internet connection required to play." There are people playing the game right now and they do not have a problem. Maybe your problem is at your end and have you thought about contacting Support at your Internet Service Providor.

To obtain Support Help have you thought about posting in the Support section and here is a link.

Also have you thought about contacting EA Support via the EA website. See "Contact Us" down the left side of the page via this link.
