This Game Made Me Hate EA

I was really happy EA taking over the C&C Series, I Liked Generals lol, But this Renegade came out and made me really sad :( It always made me dizzy for some reason while a path beyond didn't ( maybe because it was a RA mod ? lol )

QFT, seeing the OP made me think that you haven't even given the game a try. Either that or you didn't take into account that the game came out in 2002.

while far from a great C&C game it at least would give rise to concepts that would go in the battlefield series, that alone is enough to make me like it

While Renegade was a fun game back in it's day. I do think the FOV was a bit to blame for the motion sickness claims I see a lot.

Renegade was a great game at its time. If only you hadn't seen Call of Duty Modern Warfare, you would fully appreciate the genius of this game. Although I hate EA for killing C&C

Some C&C Tiberian Dawn fans really did not like Renegade because of the FPS gameplay like this and to them it was NOT a C&C RTS game.

After the release I liked to play Renegade. I wished that EA finished Tiberium and yeah I really wanted a Scrin invasion. But the reality is there are C&C fans who really do not like playing these types of games.

Uhm.....kinda makes sense it wasn't a C&C RTS game for them since it was an FPS....

Anyway, I love Renegade. It's still my favorite shooter :p

Way back then there were some people who did not do their homework before they bought C&C Renegade. Later when they played it they were surprised that it was a shooter game. Think of this in a similar light where some people did not do their homework before buying C&C4, and later were surprised that there was no harvesting and no base building. Maybe they just looked at the C&C name, or whatever, and expected something like a previous C&C game.

How do you tell by the box front cover if it's a shooter or not? Also I wonder how many games were given as presents from people who really did not know what shooter, FPS or RTS means but knew that the present recipient liked playing C&C games.

For its time? It still is a great game. It's better than many modern shooters that are out today.
