Subject:
Civilian buildings' destruction and reconstruction

Description:
Aight here's the thing: Civilian buildings in C&C3 (and some buildings in Generals) had some kick *** destruction animations, pieces of walls fell off and finally the whole thing collapsed. In Red Alert 3, most civilian buildings simply vanished when they had taken 100% damage. That ain't cool.

What we need in future, is awesome building destruction animations and more rubble (see the media section)

Another thing is repairing damaged civilian buildings as in RA2 and Generals. That feature was not seen in any game after Zero Hour (except C&C4 where they magically repaired themselves...), thus losing their strategic importance. For the next game, repairing garrisonable buildings is needed. That could be done with Engineer unit (RA2 + YR), Dozers (Gen. + ZH) or simply using the Repair tool.

Positive Effect:
More strategies, importance of cities and towns, classic garrisoning, better destruction animations are eye candy.

Negative Effect:
Moar work (?)

Media:

This topic has been kinda covered before in:
http://www.commandandconquer.com/forums/showthread.php?2126-Repairable-civilian-tech-structures

But i guess asking for more destructible thins is always good.

Maybe EA should look ingoing making a Geomod technology to have more destructible terrain and structures.

I like what is stated in this topic. But I think they should add one extra feature. When you put a Engineer in the building he should be able to slowly repair the structure.
