View Full Version : Mental Omega APYR 3.0
09-10-2011, 05:26 PM
When Mental Omega APYR (http://mo.cncguild.net) first began in 2004, it was a mere balance modification. After a few years, it had grown into an unofficial sequel to Yuri’s Revenge with a simple story and some game enhancements. Now, Mental Omega APYR will return as a re-envisioning of Red Alert 2 with version 3.0.
Enhanced with the powerful and versatile Ares DLL (http://ares.strategy-x.com), Mental Omega 3.0 strives to bring features to the game first thought impossible by the modding community.

There is a team of great people working on the version 3.0, but we're still looking for more people!
ATM We're looking for talented Red Alert 2 mappers and terrain artists who'd like to join the project. PM me or send an e-mail to email@example.com if you're interested!

The last two months have seen enormous development for Mental Omega 3.0 and, regardless of some small issues, we have no plans on slowing down at all! In fact, this is just the beginning, as we have much more in the works to show to you in the future!
Let’s start off with showcasing some of our newest voxels, made by Azri_Apoc (everything except for Soviet MCV) and Mevitar.
You can see more on the official website (http://mo.cncguild.net) (because of image limit per post).

Expect more updates in the future, I'll also keep posting them in this thread!
You can follow Mental Omega 3.0 development on:
Official Website (http://mo.cncguild.net/)
Official Forum (http://mo.cncguild.net/forum)
Don't forget to check out the website of MO3.0's foundation - Ares Expansion DLL, which revolutionizes Yuri's Revenge modding! Show your support so that version 0.2 can be released. I've released two trailers, which show how Ares is used in Mental Omega 3.0 this year. You can watch them here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKVALt8yZGw) and here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNsK3-Putz0[/url).

More tanks, more ships and more maps. This time, there's a new video too! Zenothist will briefly introduce you to two new heroes in this small Hero Spotlight part.
More new/updated units!
Akula Missile Sub
Limit on images is troublesome as usual, so visit our website (http://mo.cncguild.net) to see the rest of new voxels and maps.
Stay tuned for the next update!

Something completely new! Graion Dilach has been working on a logic that hasn't been implemented in Yuri's Revenge ever before: attribute modifiers. You can see the first preview of it in the following video: the Thor Gunship's secondary function orders units nearby to assume a defensive stance (speed nerf, armor boost) for a short while.
Other recent updates include two new maps and a nice screenshot showing all 9 basic tanks ingame.

It's true that we're already two months into 2012 and there's been no update yet. We've had a slow start but now we're back to maximum activity, working on the first release of Mental Omega 3.0. We're somewhat close to finishing the basic tech tree we designed and after that we can concentrate on remaining aspects of the mod like AI, game modes or missions. There's still a lot of work to be done, but we're on the right track to a release.
Today it's time to complete the psychic orb. Some of you have already guessed: it's a part of the new logo for Mental Omega and it was designed by CCHyper.
[ 1024x768 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/mo_wall_1024x768.jpg) ] [ 1280x1024 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/mo_wall_1280x1024.jpg) ] [ 1440x900 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/mo_wall_1440x900.jpg) ] [ 1680x1050 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/mo_wall_1680x1050.jpg) ]
Credit to 3d4h for the wallpaper.
With the new logo comes a small graphical update for the website (http://mo.cncguild.net). Old sections have been removed. As time passes, we will be slowly introducing you to 3.0 by updating each of the information pages. Links currently available will mostly take you to pages on our ModDB profile (http://www.moddb.com/mods/mental-omega) which has also been updated. You can download all previously released versions of Mental Omega from there as well.
We have two other wallpapers for you, coming from KaneNash and iamn00b.
Future Tank X-0 model was created by Banderi.
[ 1125x900 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/ctank-5-4.jpg) ] [ 1200x900 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/ctank-4-3.jpg) ] [ 1440x810 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/ctank-16-9.jpg) ] [ 1680x1050 (http://mo.cncguild.net/images/wallpapers/ctank-16-10.jpg) ]

Now for more 3.0 content.
First of all, Hero Spotlight #2! This time we'll quickly introduce, or rather reintroduce you to two veteran heroes and a new female commando for PsiCorps.
There'll be two more episodes for remaining heroes and since all of them are complete, next spotlight won't take another 3 months to make. I hope.
New units from Azri_Apoc, two of them have been briefly shown in screenshots that have been posted at the end of 2011. We're getting close to completion of basic Allied side.
Opus Custom Tank
Two more unit pictures are available at our website (http://mo.cncguild.net).

Time to open the workshop to the masses again, and by that I mean several things. The first one being a new media update. Armies are gathering their weapons, people are creating legends about heroes. The war is inevitable. The question is: why do they fight? This question will remain unanswered for the time being.
Third of four Hero Spotlight episodes is here. This time we'll show you the Russian heroes and Euro Alliance commando, all thanks to ImP_RuLz!
With this, the surprise of not knowing who the next hero who will be shown is gone. All that's left is Scorpion Cell and Pacific Front. Or is it?
Time for weapons out of various arsenals from Azri_Apoc's great war factory. Here are some of them.
Soviet Bomb Buggy
Soviet Demolition Truck
Stalin's Fist Mobile War Factory
Epsilon Plague Splatter
You can see the rest on our website (http://mo.cncguild.net/).
The country of origin and purpose for each of these (well, except for cargo planes and revised units of course) will remain a secret until we release the next pages of Mental Omega information on the site, OR until you play a beta of 3.0 and learn it yourself.
Big thanks to ImP_RuLz and Azri_Apoc for their continuous great work on new units!
That's it for today. Stay tuned!

Several weeks ago we began to reveal the first screenshots from the recent campaign development, starting with an updated mission selection screen which now includes some brief intel on the scenario.
As you may know, Mental Omega is the first (and quite probably still the only so far, but correct me if I'm wrong) modification for Yuri's Revenge which adds three complete campaigns for all sides, including Yuri, thus fixing what Westwood should have done from the start. While version 2.0psi had approx. 30 missions in total, Mental Omega 3.0 will take it even further.
At this moment, each campaign is divided into two acts, the first one being centered around the Allies vs Soviets conflict, retelling the original Red Alert 2 storyline to an extent. First act is planned to have 12 missions, out of which, the Allied ones are already complete. All of the missions in Act I are completely new. Not every mission from v2.0 will most likely be available in the next release.
We can already show you some additional pictures from the campaign. Thanks to Orac, we were able to replace the pseudo-Eiffel Tower with a real landmark from the City of Lights.
http://media.moddb.com/cache/images/mods/1/5/4016/thumb_300x150/teslaeiffla.jpg (http://www.moddb.com/mods/mental-omega/images/back-to-paris) http://media.moddb.com/cache/images/mods/1/5/4016/thumb_300x150/englishsummerrain.png (http://www.moddb.com/mods/mental-omega/images/english-summer-rain)
Additional screenshots from the map editor (oh the infamous Final Alert 2).
Furthermore, we've updated our website with three new pages. First one is a new intel page: Allied Infantry (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=allied_infantry). Information about Tanya and Pacific Front hero will be updated after Hero Spotlight #4. The other two are the jobs (http://mo.cncguild.net/jobs) page and the website changelog (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=wchangelog). If you want to help develop Mental Omega 3.0, you'll find all information you need there.
v2.0 content has been released to the public (all except for Centurion), get it from YR Argentina (http://yrarg.cncguild.net).
In other news, it seems that the Pacific Front is testing their new anti-tank weapon (http://www.moddb.com/mods/mental-omega/videos/zephyr-artillery)..
Big thanks to RP and LordCesare for their mission work as well as Zenothist for new infantry info.
Stay tuned for more updates!

This mod has made RA2 grown so much, very impressive!
07-06-2012, 04:47 PM
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their support. We have recently hit 1000 fans on our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MentalOmegaAPYR) page. It's great to know that so many people are interested in this small project of ours.
I tried to keep a regular pace with these media updates but it seems that recently development of version 3.0 has it's ups and downs. Nevertheless, it's finally time for another media update in which we'll show you some of the remaining units in game and the final episode of Hero Spotlight. No big surprises here: Scorpion Cell and Pacific Front heroes. Were you able to predict what they'd do?
The Allied Infantry (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=allied_infantry) page has been updated with new intel on Tanya and the Pacific Front hero Norio. With this, all heroes for the 9 subfactions are revealed.
Tanya, Siegfried, Norio, Volkov, Chitzkoi, Morales, Yunru, Libra, Malver, Rahn
Another update on the website: Allied Units (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=allied_units) are finally up and boy, it's a big one. I'm actually wondering if any other page will top this one with the amount of content it has. Two units are not complete and will have their pictures uploaded later. There've been several other minor updates too, you can check them on the Changelog (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=wchangelog) page.
So yeah, there are several units which haven't been shown before on that page before - fresh from Azri's war factory and no, we did not limit the update to Allied units only. Just take a look at the new pictures.
Rest of pictures is available at our website (http://mo.cncguild.net/).
There's a big chance that in the next update we'll show you the final set of 3.0 units! Well, at least the ones we want you to know about at the start. ; )
In other news, as I've written on our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MentalOmegaAPYR) page some time ago, we're happy to announce that Mental Omega 3.0 will use music by Black Ice 9 (http://blackice9.com/) for the Epsilon side. That's right, each side in 3.0 will have its own music in game. Head to his website (http://blackice9.com/) or Facebook profile (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Black-Ice-9/147779403936) for more information.
As a bonus.. two installation pictures! Thanks to Banderi and SecondWtq we'll have several nice pictures for you to see and they will be included in our installer which will try to mimic the original Red Alert 2 at least a bit.

Looks like I need to reinstall RA2 again.

Big news. Ares 0.2 has been released! (http://ares.strategy-x.com) That's right! Just a few days ago, AlexB finally released 0.2 version of the superimportant expansion DLL for Yuri's Revenge. Why aren't you modding yet? Watch this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKVALt8yZGw) and this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNsK3-Putz0) to learn more about Ares 0.2
Does that mean Mental Omega 3.0 can be released now? No. Not yet. We need slightly more than that, specifically the save/load function to make our new campaigns playable. As all testers agree, you REALLY need this function to make through the new, sometimes-impossible, missions (of which there are 32 planned for the first release of 3.0). But we're really progressing nicely. We have a lot done now and when all prerequisites are met, 3.0 will be released, with 9 subfactions, lots of new maps, game modes and campaigns for Allies, Soviets and Yuri.
Status update aside, it's time for the September 2012 Media Update! We've shown you all heroes in our Hero Spotlight series (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7352BBC3E4AEEB0B). Question is, now that Volkov is the Russian hero, are we going to have a hidden commando in 3.0? Yes. This individual:
Coming straight from Azri_Apoc's War Factory, here are the new and updated units:
As you can see, two units which have been previously missing on the Allied Units (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=allied_units) page are now finished and the page has been updated with their pictures as well. Throughout last two months, we've released two other pages too: Soviet Structures (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=soviet_structures) and Soviet Infantry (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=soviet_infantry) information is now available. T3 defenses return for all sides in the game, with Hammer Defense by Bu7loos being the Soviet one.
Thanks to Bu7loos, in Mental Omega 3.0 you'll also find a nice set of capturable tech defenses, as shown in this picture.
RP is working on a map editor tool for Mental Omega 3.0. A modded version of FinalAlert 2: Yuri's Revenge version 1.02 that aims to fix several bugs like missing high bridges in Desert and adding new features, such as the missing AI scripts from Yuri's Revenge.
ImP_RuLz is working on new infantry units and while we're not on Epsilon Infantry yet, we can show you what happened to the Nightmare from 1.2. In 3.0, this infantry unit will be known as Stalker and belongs to the Epsilon Headquarters.
See the effects (http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/5/4016/kingofthehill.gif) of 'Ultimate Weapon' - the indestructible object which when captured and held for enough time in the new, but classic King of the Hill mode destroys all your enemies instantly.
Our friends from CnC Minecraft (http://cncminecraft.com) have crafted one of the iconic Epsilon units: the Shadow Tank. You can download it here (http://www.cncminecraft.com/2012/08/shadow-tank-mental-omega.html). Check more of their Command & Conquer objects in Minecraft on their PM Profile (http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/cncminecraft/).
And last, but not least, a new MO3.0 wallpaper from iamn00b, this time featuring the powerful Epsilon airship: Basilisk. Model by SecondWtq.

That's all for today. Stay tuned!

another awesome update
and cyborg commando ftw!

With this update, all 9 T3 tanks are complete. Here's a group picture!

New units need new voiceovers and we've got plenty. Of units. We don't want to reuse voices from other C&C games like we did in 2.0, so we need your help.
If you're interested, read the short announcement at http://mo.cncguild.net/
Lines for units which require voiceovers will be available to the public. You can also suggest yours. The current base is available at this location: http://mo.cncguild.net/voices
11-04-2012, 07:32 PM
A note before we begin. Apparently, because of some changes in the game code, NPatch is not compatible with the Ultimate Collection version of Yuri's Revenge and Origin has issues with launching mods for C&C or something. There are no plans at the moment for an update of 1.2 or 2.0 to make it compatible.
Time for the November media update. The voice over project for Mental Omega 3.0 continues. As I've announced two weeks ago, we are in need of your help to provide new voices for new units. We don't want to reuse voice overs from other C&C games like I did in version 2.0, so I've started this project and I'm inviting you to be a part of it! This thread (http://forums.revora.net/topic/86209-mo30-voiceovers-discussion/) was created to discuss voice over works for MO3.0 and suggest new lines for units which still don't have the set done.
The most important thing here is the following online sheet which has up-to-date information on which units do not have their original voice done yet. I got plenty of messages saying 'I want to try giving a voice to a unit but I don't know what I should say'. Well, this sheet is the answer. It has lines I confirmed we'd be using for the units. The sheet will be updated continuously.
MO 3.0 VOICEOVERS DATA (http://mo.cncguild.net/voices)
As for now, we've received plenty of new voiceovers but there's still a lot of units to cover. All remaining "unvoiced" Soviet units are listed with lines written for them. We'll continue to list units which do not have their voice overs yet so check it out from time to time. To avoid confusion, the sheet now has two pages: units without voices (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmThY9Hze_QqdE9PaHRwakM2eFR0YnA5emd0U2FkV 2c#gid=0) and units with recorded voice overs (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmThY9Hze_QqdE9PaHRwakM2eFR0YnA5emd0U2FkV 2c#gid=2). Check the first set of voice overs we've managed to get:
Time to show you some new and old units by Azri_Apoc. Why new and old? Two of these were shown to the public "indirectly" last year and haven't been officially announced yet, something I completely missed. The more dedictated followers will know which units I mean.
Marauder (Water) (http://mo.cncguild.net/news/epsilonmarauderw.png)
The Soviet Units (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=soviet_units) page has been updated with the profile for the Apocalypse Tank. The remaining profile will be revealed when the unit is complete. Next media update I suppose.
In the meantime, Bu7loos is working on some nice updates of old defenses. Here are two of them.
Another talented 3D artist in the community, Orac, created a new T3 defense for the Epsilon.
With the reveal of third remade amphibious transport, we can show you what they're doing in their free hours! Allied Voyager, Soviet Zubr and Epsilon Mandjet in one picture (http://www.moddb.com/mods/mental-omega/images/transports-off-duty)!
Lovalmidas, who created a few fan missions for 2.0 (http://forums.revora.net/topic/85415-mo-20psi-singleplayer-fan-made-missions/) has joined the Mentalmeisters and is working on a remake of a mission from 2.0. Can you guess which one? (http://www.moddb.com/mods/mental-omega/images/malver-at-your-service)
I mentioned before that RP is working on a modified version of map editor for Mental Omega. He's also working on a map validator which you can use to check your missions for coding errors.
Thanks Luke Latzke (http://lukelatzke.com/) for providing us with the original model the Colossus Tank was based on. This mammoth and the Qilin Tank will appear in a Red Alert 2-themed installation along units like the Future Tank and Aeroblaze. The Qilin model was created by SecondWtq while the art, as usual, by Banderi. More to come!

That's all for today. Stay tuned!

Mental Omega v3.0 Unofficial Trailer (fan-made):
12-21-2012, 03:17 PM
If you're reading this, it means the world has not ended. Yet. I guess it depends on the time zone, but we're probably in the safe zone here where I'm posting this from. Or wait, is it supposed to happen at 20:12? Or maybe 21:12? I wasn't told about the time factor! Either way, time to summarize December updates and the year in general.
First of all, thanks to everyone who voted for us in this year's ModDB Mod of the Year Awards (http://www.moddb.com/events/2012-mod-of-the-year-awards/). We are in the TOP100 mods for the 3rd time in a row and 4th time in total, for which we are very thankful as it shows how dedicated our fans are and that our work is in fact appreciated. We'll continue to extend Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge lifespan with this little project of ours, hoping that you'll enjoy it when we finally release Mental Omega APYR 3.0. Two (http://mo.cncguild.net/news/moty2012b.png) pictures (http://mo.cncguild.net/news/moty2012.png) with new units were made as MOTY promos.
Unfortunately, 2012 was not the year of 3.0 despite my best intentions to make it such. The reasons for this are simple: the mod was not complete this year and the requirements for a release have not been met yet. I've made certain decisions regarding the first release of 3.0 but it all depends on factors I have no control over. Development of Ares DLL (http://ares.strategy-x.com) is one of them, so if you're a YR modder and haven't supported/tested this great DLL yet, what the hell have you been doing all this time? Fear not, Mental Omega APYR 3.0 is very far in development and will definitely be released as soon as it is possible. Yuri's almost perfect revenge will happen.
The voice over stage of our project is turning out to be a great success. Out of 61 new units, we've managed to collect 48 recorded sets for them. The following is the second sample set of new voiceovers. You can still find the list of lines for "unvoiced" units here (http://mo.cncguild.net/voices), so if you're interested in voicing one of the units for Mental Omega APYR 3.0, give it a go. E-mail: email@example.com
The new infantry unit shown in the Voice-over Showcase #2 is the Cyborg Prototype and is one of the new stolen tech infantry available for the Soviets after they infiltrate one of the enemy Soviet laboratories, be it Russian, Chinese or Latin Confederation's. The unit is supposed to mimick Renegade 2's Cyborg concept but you can see obvious connections to another unit from the C&C saga as well.
Did you notice that map lighting never affects the objects as far as shades of red, green and blue are concerned? I found a little workaround for this with 'Retint XXX' type triggers, but there are still some issues that have to be solved. It's either this, or fixing the map lighting completely, so all my hope is in Ares (http://ares.strategy-x.com) now, since the results are really nice.
Epsilon Structures (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=epsilon_structures) are up. Also, the Soviet Units (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=soviet_units) page has been updated with a profile for the Soviet-vs-Soviet stolen tech unit: the Apocalypse Tank. This behemoth of a tank makes a return in Mental Omega APYR 3.0 with more firepower than ever.
We'll be doing tutorial missions for 3.0, we've also restored and updated the original two boot camp missions from Red Alert 2. You can also take a look at a preview of another new mission created by RP and lovalmidas, Soviet this time.

A new wallpaper has been added to the Media (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=media) section. I totally have to make myself a shirt with this! Here's a poster version (http://www.moddb.com/members/speeder/images/keep-calm-and-be-one-with-yuri).
Here's another blueprint for the installer! This time, featuring me Speeder Trike. Model of the Trike was created by SecondWtq, art by Banderi.
That's all for this year. Best wishes for New Year 2013! Stay tuned!

Hello and welcome to 2013. It's time for the first update this year!
So what's been going on with Mental Omega 3.0? We're currently testing its multiplayer stability and the results are mediocre to be honest. There are reconnection errors and blittercrashes , which is why we can't release the mod yet, those issues must be resolved. Also, the AttachEffect, which is an important part of Mental Omega 3.0, has not been merged into the main branch of Ares DLL (http://ares.strategy-x.com) yet. As you can see, all delays are because of Ares development and multiplayer issues which might or might not be related.
The Red Alert 2 modding community does not provide enough feedback for it and with AlexB being the only person who works on the main branch and Graion Dilach working on AttachEffect, it shouldn't be a surprise that Ares is being developed slowly at the moment. We're trying to test it as carefully as possible, we might also require more testers for the closed beta, but basically that's why you have to wait for the first public release. Ares needs more people so if you can help somehow, please do so.
Other than that, the mod is pretty much ready for the first public beta in which we'll have everyone test the balance and further stability of the game. Of course, after we get rid of game breaking issues we already know about. We don't want to release a faulty product, even if it's just a public beta.
We have finally released the information on Epsilon Infantry (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=epsilon_infantry). Now that profiles for all heroes and heroines have been published, you can take a look at the standard 8-directional preview images for them! Who do you think will be your favourite?
This war begins anew. As you may already know, Mental Omega 3.0 will retell the events of Red Alert 2, continuing where Red Alert 1 left off and branch out into an expanded universe with brand new missions for all three factions. It means that the previous policy of "Yuri thought that his Boomers were not good enough in previous war so he replaced them with the Resheph" is no longer valid. Everything that's presented in the mod is a part of our new timeline and the events of Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge are being retconned. The story will go in a different direction than Yuri's Revenge did and lead to a completely new ending with two acts, with Act One having 36 missions (12 per side).
However, since the missions are really challenging and do require a save/load function, the full campaign will not be released until Ares DLL (http://ares.strategy-x.com) reenables it. The first public beta will contain 6 missions as a demo of what's to come.
We are very happy to announce that the first part of the*voice over stage for Mental Omega 3.0 has been completed with success! We managed to collect voice over sets for 62 new units, after receiving samples from many people. We are very thankful for your contribution, we didn't expect such an overwhelming response! In the end, voices of 20 people will be heard in-game, the full list of contributors can still be seen on this page (http://mo.cncguild.net/voices). You made this project more complete, thank you.
This is not the end, as we will want to voice characters for the campaign when the time comes! We hope to hear from you again by then.
Time for more pictures. Now that all infantry pages are released (without the stolen tech info though), I'd like to showcase the magnificent work that our infantry artist ImP_RuLz has done. This picture (http://www.moddb.com/mods/mental-omega/images/hero-graphics) shows hero units he created, namely Tanya, Norio, Siegfried, Volkov, Yunru, Libra and Rahn. These are the other infantry units he has created. Gyrocopter was based on Cranium's model.
Bu7loos has recently created a new Tesla Coil and PsiCorps Mind Reader.
Two new blueprints for the installer! This time, the mighty Basilisk and the ever popular Abrams.

Stay tuned for further announcements!

First of all, as some of you might have noticed, we have a channel on Twitch.tv (http://twitch.tv/mentalmeisters). For the past few weeks we've been doing Mental Omega streams on a private one and most likely starting next week, semi-regular streams will be held on the official channel with Doomhammer as the host with other members of staff/beta testers team joining him to comment on the games and progress so far. They are usually held on Wednesday and Friday, GMT 20:00. For now we're streaming closed beta multi-player game play, after the release we're looking forward to broadcast games with our fans. Every time we are actually live, I'll be posting about it, most likely on Twitter.
So far we've done two streams and they are now archived on Twitch.tv (http://twitch.tv/mentalmeisters) and YouTube (http://youtube.com/MentalOmegaAPYR).
The mechanical monstrosity that is the Centurion Siege Crawler returns! The last Soviet unit to be revealed was in fact the classic Mental Omega behemoth, which returns in 3.0 with completely new art created by mevitar as a unit unique to the Chinese. You can watch the reveal video right now!
Costing untold amounts of money and with a development period spanning several decades, the Centurion Siege Crawler is without a doubt the ultimate siege engine. The Soviet Units (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=soviet_units) page has been finally updated with the Centurion's profile, including a preview picture the necessary important details. While in previous version the Centurion worked as a one-unit army in many situations, in 3.0 the Centurion has been adjusted to fit the role of a support long-range unit which is a great supplement to the slow but powerful Chinese army.
A few weeks earlier, we also released the Epsilon Units (http://mo.cncguild.net/index.php?page=epsilon_units) information page which revealed the ones that haven't been showcased in the news before.
This pretty much means the basic tech trees for all sub-factions are finished. The art and information will be updated with the actual info before the first release, so ignore inconsistencies that are currently present on the pages released so far. I'd guess that Stolen Tech infantry will be next!
In other news: at this stage I come to the conclusion that there is a lot we can do with cooperative missions for 2 or more players. The first release will include 9 of them and the feedback will tell us what to do next. Here's a preview of one of the cooperative missions.
Two new blueprints from Banderi. One of them is a joke. Can you guess which one?
