RA2 problems with starting on win7

Hey. I have Windows 7 64 on my computer. I have installed Red Alert 2 + Yuri Exp from The First Decade, and when I launch it I can't see beggining intro, and RA2 bars (Single Player, Quit, Options, etc.) Have you got any idea what is wrong ?

i'm not sure what is the problem but some say that you need hardware acceleration which you can apply it from Microsoft DirectX SDK (can be downloaded from here http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=6812) after installation look for DirectX Control Panel from there you can check hardware acceleration option.
although i did this but it was no avail to me but there was someone who said it worked after he did it.

Hi there, yup i downloaded Microsoft DirectX SDK March 2008, installed on my comp,
1. Click into it in Start Menu, click on DirectX Utilities, click on DirectX Control Panel
might get get Comp asking whether okay to run, click Yes
2. Click on DirectDraw, click on HardWare Acceleration Box on top left, ensure it has a tick.
3. Now run the 64bit version too, do same.
4. Close program.
5. Go to Start Meu, type in bottom, DXDIAG, click Enter, that should now run a DirectX Diagnosis.
6. Click on Display at top of this, ensure DirectX Features are all enabled
7.Okay, now go down to bottom of same screen, click on 64bit version, look in Display again, ensure
that too has all 3 DirectX Features Enabled.
8. Okay now you know u have complete 32bit and 64bit acceration, now install Game(S), setting in compat modes etc as in other guides, you should now be able to play the games.
9.My computer manufacture didnt enable 32bit on grahpics as standard, this is why i believew alot of64bit pps are having trouble hope that helps guys....good luck

Another point sorry, make sure any previous folders in your Program Folder in C Drive are deleted along with previous installs, alothough it may still work once 32bit installed mine, did and i didnt require re-install.

Hi I have a Windows 7 and 64 bit and tried this and still a blank screen and no tabs. I tried running on different compatibility modes and running as admin, i downloaded the 1.03 rev 4 patch and still nothing. Is there anything else i can do?

Do you have a laptop? If you have an external monitor plug that in and try.

If not, the only way I've found of getting around this issue is to use hypercam to record the screen (in pause mode) to which it refreshes the game screen.
