As what the thread calls for ^^

My favorite top 5 spy movies:
1) Tomorrow Never Dies
2) Die Another Day
3) Mission Impossible III
4) The Bourne Ultimatum
5) True Lies

The recent spy movies so far, they are not that great.... until Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol and the upcoming James Bond movie Skyfall.

I like most James Bond movies hell of a lot. I haven't seen much other spy movies, so I guess I'll put my JB (= James Bond, not Justin Bieber) top 5...
1) Goldeneye
2) Tomorrow Never Dies
3) License to Kill
4) The Man with the Golder Gun
5) Goldfinger

Not really a spy movie as more an undercover cop movie, though I do regard it highly: A Scanner Darkly.

As for spy movies:
True Lies (gotta love Arnie)
Golden Eye (that song!!!)

and possibly a dozen others whom I merely not remember by now.

I suppose i have not seen them all, i know for certain that from the Bourne´s saga i saw only the first movie - so i do not think like doing any ladders, but....

as far as James Bonds go, i was always fan of those newer ones, featuring Pierce Brosnan and out of these i always liked Tommorow Never Dies and Die Another Day most.

I suppose Mission Impossible were pretty decent spy movies as well...

Coincidentally, just this weekend i saw Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy, new movie featuring Gary Oldman.... and it was nothing like James Bond, it feels far more authentic and in the end, despite the espionage theme its not really spy thriller. If you like heavy, thoughtful movies with authentic atmosphere and you can appreciate various subtleties and nuances, i suppose i can recommend it to you. Otherwise, stay away from it, you would consider it slow, boring and confusing.
