The C&C Community is a big and active environment, with one key element being the huge modding/mapping community. There are so many great projects out there that showcase the great passion and creativity of our fans, using the technology and intellectual property provided by EA to create great new gameplay content or prove of concept demos.
But sometimes people forget what this whole thing is all about – creating fun content for all Command & Conquer fans out there and having a great time reaching the development goal. Those mod projects don’t have to fight to create revenue or reach a sales forecast.
So there is no need to copy code from other projects out there – People are working hard with their full dedication to their hobby to create amazing new worlds based on the tools and content they have. You all should honor the work done by others and give them the credit it reserves when using it on your own. Projects that are known to misunderstand this spirit by using code from other projects without crediting them or asking for their permission will not be supported in any way through our end!
