Yuri's Revenge LAN with 1 CD key?

My brother and I decided to try some LAN play in Yuri's Revenge. I have TFD, and I installed the same TFD on my brother's laptop with same CD keys (obviously). We tried playing through the same modem, and everything worked quite well, until he tried to join my game, after which he got a message saying that the same CD key is already in use by the other player in the game, which is very understandable.

My question, is it possible in any way to play Yuri's Revenge LAN with the same CD key? Or is the easiet way to make my brother buy himself a copy of TFD?

Not possible, as far as I know. Sorry. Either get a keygen or get a second copy.

I'm not sure what you mean with "playing through the same modem" though. That's utterly irrelevant if you're talking about LAN games.

I had this exact same problem.
You might want to reinstall the game on both computers, as the anti-piracy switch may have been activated.
And if you are only playing lan (No online) and own a copy... you could try a different cd key, ask your mates if you could use thier key (if they have YR).
I personally own both TFD and all cd's for all of the games in TFD, so I just reinstalled on one of the computers using the YR key from the cd, with the other comp using the TFD key.
