Okay, I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.. My computer is a Quad Core 2.3GHz, I got 256MB Video Ram, its a GeForce chipset..
I have a LEGIT COPY, I just bought it on eBay a week ago, I finally get around to installing it, and I update all the way up to patch 1.04 (Zero Hour), I haven't patched the regular generals, but I doubt thats an issue..
I go onto EA's online server, and ALL the games are grey'd out, I double click ANY GAME and it says.. "Unable to Join, versions are different" or something to that effect.. As far as I know the highest Zero Hour goes to is 1.04...
Someone please help, I hope I didn't waste my money :(
It doesn't go up to 1.04, but rather 1.06, however that's unofficial.
Just so you know, TFD x Deluxe Editions/separate games are incompatible with ONLINE only for some reason, they work perfectly together in LAN though.

wait, so you're saying I spent money on deluxe edition, got a VALID serial number, but EA doesn't support it? How did I get a Deluxe Edition serial number, that works with EA Games, if they don't work together.. I'm so confused..
thanks btw

Ehh I have deluxe and it works against TFD online :? isn't that what the 1.8 patch fixes? or maybe just fixes it on CCG!

You can do one simple thing to fix that small issue, since you have a legit key you can ask a friend of yours to borrow you the Zero Hour discs and install it with your key and voila problem solved. If you wanna know how to play without the CD just PM me and i gladly tell you how to.

The reason why you can't join other's games is because there's a bug with Windows 7. To fix this, you should run the game as Administrator. Rightclick on the shortcut, go to Properties, then Compatibility, then check the box that says 'Run as Administrator' and then click OK.
If it still doesn't work, try running in Windows XP compatibility mode.
