They should add as much options as possible to make Multiplayer more decideable choices like in TS and RA2.

Options:

Money/Credits 10000/40000
Random crates turn on/off
Superweapons turn on/off
Epic units turn on/off
bridges destroyable on/off
tib cores on/off
Bases on/off Crawlers
reveal map on/off
tib grow speed slow/medium/fast/veryfast
Game speed slow/medium/fast
tech level 1/10
Colours choice

I'll add to that list, some options from the game Act of War:

Game speed (50, 75, 100, 150, 200)
Share vision with allies.
Unit lethality %
Map resources (Low, Average, High)
Resource harvesting speed
Share resources with allies
Unit cap
Infantry only


Metagames:
Short game (Destroy enemy CY to win)
Tiberium Monopoly (Gather X amount of Tiberium to win)
WMD Run (Build 10 superweapons ready to launch)

Some game modes

Assassination: Kill the enemy that is selected for you, after the enemy is defeated another enemy is assigned to you to kill
Capture the enemy: As it says capture the Command Center(it can't be sold unless 2 Command Centers are present)
Guardian: Protect a selected ally if they are defeated you lose, in order to win, eliminate the enemy
Armageddon: First use of the super weapon get to eliminate a whole enemy

I agree, except for the crawler thingy, that idea was always horrible.

The game speed should be more customizable, like in generals, and it should be able to be very fast like TS/RA2.

I don't want any options at all for ladder matches. For custom matches I don't care. One thing I would like to see for team games is the ability to share resources but I don't want it totally shared like you have a team income. I'd like you to be able to share on demand an amount of credits if the circumstance calls for it.

That would be cool :)

i am makeing maps where all strting point have the power to kill any thing with one shot and cant be taken out in any way!!!

FEAR ME SPAWN CAMPERS i will expose you in real life for the thife that you are and the bigest CHEATER IN THE WORLD!

I thought the map generator in earlier C&C games was really cool and added an additional level of strategy to the game as players cannot just use the same strategy because they have no idea what map they are gonna be fighting on.

I agree, the more options (in custom matches) the better. Speaking of options, in RA you had the option to play with 8 players on every single available map there was. Which means 8 starting locations per map, which added a huge amount of replayability compared to newer games. If only that were possible with the modern games. :)

Game options should be available for any and all game modes. There should be defaulted options settings to be used for ladder matches. These cannot be changed if you want your match to be ranked.

This would mean:
-Default money amount
-Default game speed
-Default units and structures
-Default resource growth
etc.

If you want to play on the ladder, you can only play by the default rules. When you create a custom game with augmented rules, then any game you play with those rules will not be counted as a ranked match. Simple as that. There is no need to say "no options in ladder matches" because that just leads to unnecessary confusion.

All ranked games should be fought on randomly generated maps :P that would be a proper test of skill then

Agree. This way you have to stay on your toes and eliminates map memorization in ranked games. Though, I am not opposed to using default maps in ranked games, it's just more fun and a better test of skill without them. Just as long as the random map generator keeps everything equal on both sides.

As for options, they could have a mode that uses a crawler/classic mix. It could be a hybrid of the guardian game type. You have one player (per team) who has an MCV and builds a base, launch pads (for crawler respawns), units, and an economy. The other players get crawlers, go out and try to destroy the the other players defending base. First one to take out the base wins. Take out the launch pads to prevent crawlers from re-spawning. They should share an economy, and have plenty of tib silos and spikes for capture.
This mode should in no way be featured in the core gameplay, ladder matches or anything.

I would also like to see a capture the flag mode.

Maybe a unit painter like they have in Dawn of War.

Also, in Halo Wars there was a mode (i forgot the name) where there was a timer, and at the end of that timer you got units based off of you current economy and buildings. It was fun, if you adding options, why not?

They should just have two ladders, one for random maps and one for official ones.

There should be tournament ladders which consist of symmetrical arena type maps. Then there should be skill ladders which consist of randomly generated maps.

And finally, there should be unranked custom matches that let you do whatever it is you want to do; random map with infantry only and resources growing at 300x their normal rate!

And seeing how even 4v4 in SC2 has its own ladder...

We should have more ladders for different game modes that are competitive, is what I'm saying, safe from crazy FFA...
