Apparently, Cenega, the polish publisher of the new Star Trek game, released the game with the following message in it:



It translates into, I s**t you not:

"Dear Client, the game Star Trek The Video Game was formaly prepared in the english language version. However, after launching the game, it may turn out that it is avaible in polish translation which can have errors. The following product is designed as a game in english and we recommend using that language to play it." What follows from here is an instruction how to change the language to english.

And indeed, the game has no "PL version" on the box. Only that you install the game on Steam and one of the options is, indeed, to install it in polish.

I happened to see one screen, altough posting it is pointless for people who don't speak polish, and yes, it's error-ridden with missing letters and painfuly direct in translation.

The website which posted this got a reply from Cenega in which the explained that they got the translation from the international publisher (Namco Bandai) and it was sub-standard, so they released the game in english instead. But Namco decided to put the translation on Steam anyway.

It's all miscommunication but.. They literaly put a note into the box asking them not to play the game in polish in case you happen to find the option to do so during the installation.

I actually like the idea of channels like Sesame Street being premium (subscription based) if they actually upload entire episodes to their channel for children (hey, maybe even adults themselves) to watch.

YouTube is in my opinion the smoothest video website I've come across, the most accessible (from anywhere) and fast. Being able to watch Sesame Street with your children anywhere with wi-fi or mobile connection seems like a great opportunity not to miss (if you're a parent) even if it's not free. I'd like HBO and the like to also integrate a subscription within their channels once they upload episodes of say... Game of Thrones, which isn't accessible here in Ireland up-to-date.

Stuff like that seems like a good deal for the consumer and business, but what I fear is many channels taking advantage of this and eventually YouTube will be nearly flooded with only amateur (and rubbish) videos. I just hope YouTube will be extremely strict with which channels get this new service.

And can't help but make at least three big bonus points on my "shall I buy Blacklist" list (yeah, I have a list after that Conviction fiasco, just as I have for CnC after Tiberium Twilight, not enough points, no sell!) after I watched this. Not only was Spies vs Mercs a really, really great MP back in Chaos Theory (which in turn was the best Splinter Cell imho), but it also suggests that all the smooth talk about going back to the roots for the Splinter Cell series, or at least allowing for old-school Splinter Cell stealth playstyles for the singleplayer weren't all just marketing untruths.

In the near future, a hostile alien race (called the Formics) have attacked Earth.
