Who here has watched the movie? I heard that the movie is epic and its ads are appalling. So far its box office debut was the highest of all time... until if The Dark Knight Rises hopes to beat that statistic of over $200 million in the first 72 hours of showtime. I will watch it when time comes by.

I think this was better than the typical action movie. Typical action films don't usually have, or focus much on getting a serviceable plot with good chemistry between characters. This one did. And it did this with 6 extremely different types of protagonists. Keep in mind each of these characters is supposed to be strong enough to carry a film exclusively about themselves. Putting them together in one film with just the right amount of screen time and focus on each of them is very difficult.Originally posted by Commander32 View PostTypical Action Movie, saw it last week, its alright, but I always wanted more to be done.
As people have seen with the latest super hero films with something like just two villains, the potential for a disjointed cluster-**** here was immense. And yet they pulled it off really well. Having a bunch of prequel films focused on each character was just really good planning.Last edited by Kyanges; 05-15-2012, 01:21 AM.

When I saw the movie with my friends in 3D I was expecting it to be a great movie. And I was right because it was a great story with good chemistry between the characters. Saw all the prequel movies except The Incredible Hulk. I think that is has a chance to win some awards but I guess The Avengers main competition will be The Dark Knight Rises once that comes out in July.
Now are they ever going to make a Justice League Movie?

My thoughts exactly, and laid out better than I could have done at this late time.Originally posted by Kyang View PostI think this was better than the typical action movie. I like the way the movie pulled itself together from multiple storylines too.
True, sometimes certain things got completely crazy, but it never felt crazy in a bad way, and it was always covered up with either action or humor.

Can Tony wear that Mark VII without going mid-air or something? Looking forward to the sequel of this movie.

It was a great movie. I'm not normally one to judge movies, I tend to just like all movies I watch, even the bad ones, so my word may not be a good one to follow. I will say that after this movie, I wanted to walk right back in and watch it again, it really is enjoyable. It may not be the next Inception or V for Vendetta in terms of thought out plot and twists, but it is pretty solid. If you are not a hyper movie critic, you will enjoy The Avengers.

This movie would be more epic if Spiderman and the Fantasic Four are in (since they are Marvel characters). I thought the Spiderman would have been an avenger.

I think in the sequel Spiderman would be a part of the Avengers. Not the Toby Maguire Spiderman but that new pubescent Spiderman. I think the movie is a little bit long and there are some cheesy parts (like the one scene where Captain America made his speech when he saved a bunch of German people) and I hate the way *spoilers* Agent Phil Coaleson died considering he appeared in most of the prequels and Cobie Smulders there just made me feel I was watching an episode of "How I met your mother". All in all the movie was good but not as good as the first Iron Man movie. Did not get to see the "Shawarma" scene because it is not available in my country, but I heard it was epic.
