  • Zero-Hour Installation failed

    #1
    Version: C&C Generals Deluxe Edition

    Informations:
After installing and playing the C&C Generals CD-rom (cd1 and 2) I decided to install the Zero-Hour cd-rom.

    CD3 installs without problem.
CD4 installs until the last step (100%!!) and failed.

Window 1: "Le fichier CAB 'language.cab' nécessaire pour cette installation est endommagé et ne peut pas être utilisé. Il s'agit peut-être d'une erreur réseau, d'une erreur de lecture du cd-rom ou d'un problème lié au package."
    (I click on "Ignore")

    Window 2: "Erreur interne 2350"

Window 3: "Erreur: -1603 Une erreur fatale est survenue lors de l'installation. Consultez l'aide de Windows Installer (Msi chm) ou MSDN pour de plus amples informations"

Does a downloadable file exists to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

It appears the installation from that disc cannot read the file. Please check to make sure your disc is not scratched, or otherwise the file(s) would not be corrupted. If not, you have to contact EA Customer Support to report this issue. There is no downloadable file to fix this issue.

What version of Windows did you install this to?

I've had C&C and it's Expansion Pack "Zero Hour" for many years, but have never registered it, mainly because it has just been me and my brother on LAN that play it, there has been no need to get online and play. But now I've got some other people interested in playing it, but I need to register my copy because now it won't let me in the server listing area unless I register the game and sign in.

So I use the EA Games Register application that comes with the game, but it won't allow me to register, I click Register Now, then fill out the information, it comes to the area where it says activate by Internet, Modem, Print/Fax, or mail, I click on the Internet one, and it reads back "Trouble sending registration information, you may try again later or try a different method".

I have gone to the EA Games website, to ask for help, but found out that I need to "sign up" to their site before I'm allowed to contact them, where upon I tried that, but it wouldn't allow me to sign up, invalid information when it is all correct, even when I tried a different email, password, username etc. So i then decided to get smart and goto their Facebook page, of which I left them a message and they have not contacted me back, I tried their Youtube channel, of which the same thing, and there is no direct email address to email them at.

So I got to the point where I typed into Google "Command And Conquer Forums" and this is where I'm upto now. So can anyone please tell me what the heck is going on with this game, and why it won't allow me to get online and play.

It is a legit copy, but I uninstalled it and now trying out a downloaded copy, of which still has the same issue.

            This is an XP version.

I'm pretty sure that the disc goes wrong...

            No scratch on it.
How can I check if the file is corrupted...? As I'm not a specialist in PC I don't know how to do.

After checking th file I'll send a mail to EA Customer support.
DO you have a link to them?

            Thanks!
