  • What position does C&C Generals: Zero Hour hold in you top favorite games list.

    #1
You can give a number of which you think is the position of Generals in your top favorite game that you ever played so far. If you wish you can give a full list. I know that with time, the way you enjoy a game changes. So you just may express your current opinion. The games should be seen from a general perspective, not from a specific one, like gameplay, or story ect. My list is this:

    1. Generals: Zero Hour (PC)
    2. Grim Fandango (PC)
    3. Dead or Alive 2 (PS2)
    4. Assassin's Creed 1 (PC)
    5. Starcraft 2 (PC)
    6. Red Dead Redemption (PS3)
    7. Age of Empires 2 (PC)
    8. The curse of monkey island. (PC)
    9. Gran Turismo 3 (PS2)
    10. Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2)

That's tough, as I enjoy a good many games.

Almost all of these games deserve placement in the top four for me, but since I can't do that, here's my oddly misshapen list:

    1. BfME II (and Rise of the Witch King Expansion) (PC) - The first RTS that I played was BfME, which I enjoyed quite a bit. I loved the sequel even more.
    2. Generals (and Zero Hour) (PC) - The second series of RTS, and even video games, that I ever played (maybe discounting Stronghold 2).
    3. Age of Mythology (and Titans Expansion) (PC) - I know, it's a spinoff with a cheesy plotline and cheesy characters. It's still very fun.
    4. Civilization 4 (and Expansions) (PC) - Definitely a huge favorite. It's hard for me to rate below my other favorites, even.
    5. Assassin's Creed II (PC) - Though it lagged a lot on my PC (not quite an adept gaming computer, I'm afraid), I enjoyed the game an enormous amount, mainly due to the plotline. The later games had far better gameplay that made you feel even more badass, but overall, the plotline in ACII was definitely my favorite.
    6. Half-Life 2 (PC) - Without G-Mod, there's no replayability; however, this game still holds the greatest campaign in my mind.
    7. Fallout 3 (PC) - A terrific, and at some points, potentially even moving plotline, as well as very fun, though gruesome, gameplay.
    8. Medieval: Total War 2 (PC) - Splendid gameplay. This game really challenges you to make tactical decisions, and it makes you feel awesome when they work.
    9. Dark Souls (Xbox 360) - Enormously hard. However, you get a great sense of success once you actually manage to survive or kill something.
    10. Prototype (PC) - A very fun game where you can do pretty much whatever the hell you want, so long as it involves murdering everything in extremely vile and strangely entertaining ways. The game also gets extremely hard and has a neat plotline as well.

i really dont think i can make a list, due to needing a new graphics card i cant play some of the games so they have fallen out of favor to what i can get to run at the moment. so games im currently playing are going to get higher.

if i was to judge from how good i thought it was at time of the 1st play. ra1 would be 1st. it was fantastic. but its just lacking so much of the developments that have come since, im now disappointed with it. if you get my meaning.

with generals being the only game from the 1st decade box i can run at the moment, its pretty high on the list but it lacks the immersion the tib or red alert series holds

This is TOP-5, in random order (because it's hard to sort these):
              • Battlefield 2142.
              • Minecraft (because of Industrial Craft² mod).
              • C&C: Red Alert.
              • Red Alert: A Path Beyond.
              • Freelancer (space pew-pew).

These are a bit easier to sort:
6-7. Unreal (just «Unreal», not Tournament) series, Parkan: Iron Strategy (old Russian RTS+FPS).
              8-9. Terraria, Worms.
              ≥10. C&C Generals.

                  C&C4 does not exist. It's a myth.

C&C 4 doesn't deserve a rank in my list. C&C 4 is just it's own game in my eyes minus the C&C before the 4.

C&C 4 = Crawler Wars: An Alternative Tiberian Twilight Story

Commander Parker walked through a wormhole that lead him to an alternative dimension when he was a kid. He would have had a nice family, and done a successful job eradicating tiberium on his Earth (or spreading it), but no; his troubling experience got him a job that gave him severe injuries, he got married to a lady he didn't like, and he eventually became Kane's pawn either way and died, without getting to see that he saved the planet, or without getting to go with Kane to see the Scrin planet (that was the ONE thing that I expected at the end, the ONE thing; that your character would get to go through the portal).

                          Last I checked it's not your decision whether a game is a C&C or not. It's called C&C, therefore it's a C&C.

Would you change me a five dollar bill for two tenties and a ten dollar bills if I painted a zero behind my fivers five. It says fifty now, doesn't it?

Last I checked, My opinion is mine alone. C&C 4 was released and I don't have to like it nor treat it like other C&C games. Professionally, I support all C&C games. Personally, I pretend C&C 4 came and went by the way side into the abyss from which it came.
