  • Other World Builder: Shrub tool

    #1
    Subject:
Shrub tool in future C&C game's World Builder

    Description:
The shrub tool was first seen in Generals WB. If you don't know what is the shrub tool, I'll explain a bit: Basically, you can select 5 different trees or bushes, and their % amount of 100 %. The maximum amount of trees per placing was 50. With the tool, simply drag a box at the desired terrain, and out of nowhere 50 objects pop on the battlefield.

In the next World Builder, a similar tool should be available, except with let's say 10 different selectable objects, and not only trees, but also civilian buildings, derbis etc. And with option to select which angle you want them to be place, for example 45 degrees, 135 degrees...

    Positive Effect:
It would help mappers in creating cities and forests

    Negative Effect:
Yet again, I didn't come up with any

    Media:
    No media atm, might change.

I like this idea. But you mention "helping mappers create cities and forests." Would this be designed to basically make insta-cities?If so,I like that idea too.If you want to make a more complicated city than a computer-generated city, you don't have to use the tool.

Basically yes, using the tool would create loads of buildings in the desired area, and if the creator wants to insert buildings one by one, the best way for that would be the "object tool" (if that was its name)
