  • Laserlocking + other abilites

    LASERLOCKING!

    Description:
    Bring it back!! for Generals its a must not like in ra3 though I hated those little Javelin guys. We also could have similar traits for other units.. not like every unit or 10 different attacks or whatever, nothing to complicated but these kind of things in generals were really appreciated.

    Positive Effect:
    It meant if you were willing to guide your units better by targeting you would have a higher chance of winning the skirmish this encouraged more focus in the battles and this kind of thing separated better players!

    Negative Effect:
    I don't think there is one!

    Sure, I didn't use it a lot in Generals, since I usually built tanks rather than Missile Defenders, but every time I used laser lock it did the job well

      It would be really weird if they won't include it just because they didn't do so at RA3.

        I don't see why not. I never really used it in Generals, but I don't have anything against it. I would like it if you could actually see the full laser, like in Generals.

          as long as the ai dont cheat with it and laserlock everything instantly at long range like they occasionally did in gen1

          iv had 3/4 of them wipe out hordes of tanks and base defences (which they shouldnt be able to use it on) wiped out in seconds when i was destracted

            From a gameplay feedback standpoint, laser lock is brilliant. The way the red lines communicate which units are being targeted is both satisfying the person casting the laser lock, and useful for the person getting laser locked. Additionally, they created some excellent tension/drama thanks to the instant casting of the laser, but the pre-attack delay of the rockets. Even better would be if the laser line got progressively bolder the closer the pre-attack delay got to 0. That would build even more tension/drama with laser lock while providing even more visual feedback.

              Instant laser-lock is one of the worst cheats the AI uses! I HAAAATE THAT!!!!

              I hate playing against USA AI ... all out of the sudden four defenders kill all your defenses and special abilitity-aircraft.

                I guess you mean in ZH as the AI in gen1 never LL's for some reason

                  I also Would like The Paladin Back , Or a similar tank which can disable projectiles comming in.

                    -If Missile defenders with unchanged Laser lock, then for 400$.
                    -Humvees with 3 positions to garrison.
                    -USA tanks cheaper or stronger, Crushader is for his price useless even agains Scorpion, same with Paladin if isn't upgraded and proper Strategy center mode beign set, which is also one of reasons for AirF general popularity as he looses only mostly useless USA tanks.
                    -Napalm missile have to exploding after beign hit by point defense laser, so one or two Avengers didn't make Migs completely useless etc etc.

                    All things easly changable in ZH and testable if there are some players with constantly maintained skill...

                    As for integrating laser lock into next Generals, we will see.

                            No need, for same reason that Battlemaster don't have cost same like Crusader, I don't need to play game to prove it..lol.
                            As you can't provide any arguments its closed case for me for long time. This thread is just one big joke and you know it.
