  • Most Active Multiplayer?

    Which of the C&C games still has the most active multiplayer?

    I know that if one really wants multiplayer, I should go get Starcraft 2 probably... but I've never been a fan of them, and I want to play some of the games that I already own. So, I'm curious which one of the C&C games is still active multiplayer.

    I've heard that Red Alert 3 is awful and that C&C4 is awful, so I'm guessing that most people are still playing RA2 and C&C3? I'm just curious though.

    I'm not a super competitive person, just want to be able to jump online and duke it out with someone if it comes up.

      From what I've seen, C&C 4 usually has more games being played/hosted.

        RA3 isn't awful, but it isn't very good either. And lol, if you're not a competitive person don't go anywhere near SC2 MP.

          RA 3 is definately a gameplay > graphics... and what I have heard the persons who hate RA 3 is because it's not 'pretty'. But it's definately an awesome game.
          And for online, the automatch 1vs1 is actually pretty active... lobbies are kind of dead with new games but automatch should work.
          C&C 4 has games on lobby 24/7 and it's just growing larger...

          And I fair... seeing the activity on gamereplays... not sure but I presume, that Generals is still active online o_O I was surprised to see them having the record of most Tip of the Weeks for a C&C game, so Generals seems to have it's own special fanclub with active players.

              I like Generals and Renegade as well. I have those games for ages now, but I have never really bothered to play them online. Maybe I should just do that one day.

                I play a little of everything except Renegade so what Evil says may be dead on and I'd have no idea but C&C 4 has the most activity on a day to day basis. All of them are reasonably active, if you want a game you can generally get one pretty easily, but in terms of online population and hosted games C&C 4 seems to have the most.

                    Too bad I had a bad computer when Generals was out, I tried twice to play it on full settings but each time my opponent would attach with his army the game crashed :P
                    Now I have an awesome computer, could probably give Generals another chance...

                      I played Gen 1st on a pentium 3 800MHz, took me about 2 hours to finish 1 mission

                          I enjoyed playing Kane's Wrath online. I also really enjoyed RA3's multiplayer (especially in the days of the RA3 beta. Used to hang with the CNC-Files crew. )

                            I love red alert 3's cartoony graphics! And the game play is pretty awesome. I don't know why people hate.

                              I like it, except for the fact that certain things that bloom, shouldn't, and certain things overly bloom.
                              Also, it would have been nice if they added some weather effects and a few more props to the maps.
