  • C&C Soundtrack Survey [Red Alert + Generals Update]

    #1
It’s survey time – again. This survey is about the soundtrack of the Command & Conquer Tiberium universe. Command & Conquer always had a great soundtrack to support the action packed gameplay. And there are a lot of those songs out there that have been part of a C&C soundtrack.

That’s why we want to dig a little bit deeper into the music of Command & Conquer and ask you – the C&C Community – about your favorite songs of each game. Be part of evolving Command & Conquer to a future superior RTS game by taking the survey!

    Check out the survey HERE!

    Thanks guys

They'll probably make a RA one later. Anyway Tib Sun>Tib Wars>Tib Dawn>Tib Twilight, in terms of music that is.

Dang that was really difficult for TD :S TS was a bit easier, but still difficult. Only Black Dawn for TW really and I don't like any of the TT tracks.

My favorite TD track (by far) is March to Doom but it wasn't on the list (unless I overlooked it)

Oh and I assume Ammo "Cup" was supposed to be Ammo Clip.

                Here was my list:

                TD:
                Act on Instinct
                In the Line of Fire
                Iron Fist

                Renegade:
                Command & Conquer
                Act on Instinct
                Move It

                Tiberian Sun:
                Lone Trooper
                Heroism
                Parhotek

                Honorable Mention:
Nod Crush (not there), Valves, Scouting

(Firestorm tracks weren't on it. )

                C&C 3:
                Black Dawn
                Blue Glory
                Radiation Alert
(alien arrival, theme played in the Scrin intro movie, wasn't there)

                C&C 4:
                To Save Humanity
                Bad to Worse
                We Rise

(though I'd give Welcome Back Commander, The Prophet's Ascension, the briefing themes, and To the Death honorable mention).

Actually, I have a question. What's the track name for the Nod vocals in the background during campaign? Most easy to find it would be in the final mission if you just hang by your Crawler on easy and don't get too active save for helping out your allies. Has the vocals in the background, a steady beat. I've been trying to find it for a while

Done. TT soundtracks are pretty good where the dynamic environmental music effects from Sage 2.0 shone through whilst playing. No doubt that would be included within the engine of the next game.

Yep, To Save Humanity was a decent track and The Prophet's Ascension was great, although I hated it at the time because it began playing after the infamous ending scene.

I made 3 other selections, well that is me and what I like. I also made selections in the other games, and great that CIRE included the brief MP3s because there are so many names to try to remember.

Is this subtle confirmation that the next game will in fact be a Tiberian one? ;-) Anyway glad to see they're taking the music seriously, the music has always been one of the most important parts of Command & Conquer for me. (All hail Frank Klepacki)

It maybe for the next game that is to come after the game in the works has been released. CIRE maybe helping out with the really early stage for that. Anyway it would be interesting to hear what CIRE says about that in the survey.

Maybe they are looking for certain style qualities within the Tiberium music and what most people want, and which might be applied not only to future Tiberium games but somewhat similarly applied to a new universe. Within C&C the tiberium series does have the most music so maybe a reason to use it in a survey for gathering info on certain style qualities. Note Tiberium Style in the image.

For standalone music Tib Dawn was way superior but Tib Wars music gave you a much more immersive feeling. In my opinion.

Tiberium is the light and the way.........the true C&C.....

Ya, Heroism, score, prophet's acention, and to save humanity are all good ones for me, as well as god old Act on instinct.
