Hi! I have heard that EA are looking for ideas for the new command and conquer 5 i supose. I think the best game is the game that have the most aproximation to the reality. The firsts command and conquer was the best, i think you can do now the same but with best quality. With more REAL types of tanks and planes and everything. The key to the sucess i think is to improve the graphs and make real troops buldings and not special units like robots and that type of things. I talk for me but i think we want to play like a real life general of war. What do you think?

I alread said. Too real game is not a game. Real generals of war only tell armies to fight. How to do it is their decision.

C&C5 would be continuation from C&C4, so if you want realisticness to C&C you're looking for Generals 2 rather than C&C5.

I can't be the only person here thinking Twilight could have been better suited as a spinoff instead of a canonized game, can I?
At any rate, a realistic C&C would need to at least only continue off C&C3/Kane's Wrath instead of Twilight, and would likely be either a continuation off Zero Hour or a whole-cloth new universe.

If you think that of TT then you probably would also think that Renegade could have been better suited as a spinoff instead of a canonized game.Originally posted by RedShocktrooper View PostI can't be the only person here thinking Twilight could have been better suited as a spinoff instead of a canonized game, can I?
C&C Renegade's storyline takes place during the final days of the First Tiberium War. It deals with the abduction of GDI's top three Tiberium research specialists by the Brotherhood of Nod. The player takes on the role of GDI commando Nick "Havoc" Parker, who is assigned to rescue these experts. As the game progresses it is revealed that they have been forced into biochemistry research for the Brotherhood's top secret "Project ReGenesis," an attempt to create genetically enhanced super-soldiers.
Renegade follows the standard FPS formula, giving the player weapons and a set of objectives for each level that must be met before continuing to the next.

Atleast Renegade kept to the experience of real C&C. In essence you were an AI control commando, you saw the units, buildings, and gameplay in Renegade. You saw a harvester collecting Tib. You were just the commando. Renegade woulds have been better on console over PC.Originally posted by EddySaf View PostIf you think that of TT then you probably would also think that Renegade could have been better suited as a spinoff instead of a canonized game.

Renegade WAS a spinoff. It wasn't called Command and Conquer 3 or Command and Conquer 1.5 or something. It's Command and Conquer: Renegade.Originally posted by EddySaf View PostIf you think that of TT then you probably would also think that Renegade could have been better suited as a spinoff instead of a canonized game.

Except for Eddy, he's basically the only one that likes FnF4...

There are others but they don't come here due to the reception that they would receive.Originally posted by Klandri View PostExcept for Eddy, he's basically the only one that likes FnF4...

I enjoyed playing it. Yeah man Renegade kept to the experience of a real C&C and also to the storyline and canon. Those who do not know might like to watch part of a mission to see what Renegade is. Some might like to get it and play it. but those who only like RTS games may not like this type of game.Originally posted by AdmiralQAtleast Renegade kept to the experience of real C&C. Firstly, whether the first C&C was the best is only your opinion. I like it, but the plot line isn't all that good. I personally like C&C 3 a lot (not just because of the graphics-the gameplay is fun, and the campaign is fun).Originally posted by Kargavibe View PostHi! Secondly, C&C has never been truly realistic. Sure, it's had some units based on real life weapons, but the basis of the style is usually futuristic in some manner, and not all of the technologies would actually work/be convenient.
Nobody's gonna take away my Ion Cannon, Titan Mechs, and Mammoth Tanks!

I think that CABAL was awesome and so was Legion. They are a part of the Tiberium universe storyline, but also there are other things which are also awesome. When we go into the next Tiberium saga, I feel that there will be new awesome things that we have not encountered yet, and they too will be within the Tiberium universe storyline.Originally posted by AdmiralQ View PostLove the hints to CABAL

Generals? Realistic? Oh yeah, Chinese troops with almost no armor and tech, USA units being pure white, toxin tractors, toxins as weapons on the battlefield, nuclear missiles being actually used by China, Dr. Thrax, abandoned or old prototype US Army projects being used (Commanche, F-22/A), The Abrams being phased out for 2 new tank designs, laser tanks and turrets, use of flame weapons in modern warfare, GLA infantry wearing rubber suits, Cold Fusion, F117 Nighthawk still being used, Propaganda Center, Internet Center, Hackers on the battlefield, speaker towers, bulldozers building structures, Black Market mechanic (and how they can be built anywhere on any battlefield), Neutron Bombs, Nuke Cannon, Tunnel Networks, fancy metallic army logos, rocket buggies, Mini-gunners being able to target high-speed aircraft, China using an old MiG prototype, Battle Bus and its gameplay mechanic, Colonel Burton wearing no armor and a giant ammo belt, the combat cycle mechanic, Dragon Tanks, GLA Workers, tactical nukes being used by aircraft, Scud Storm, Flame artillery, giant dual-barreled tanks that can add a giant bunker, speaker tower or gattling cannon on top, etc.Originally posted by CnC_Fin View PostC&C5 would be continuation from C&C4, so if you want realisticness to C&C you're looking for Generals 2 rather than C&C5.
Yeah, Generals is definitely realistic...Not to mention that China is nationalistic to the extreme and the GLA are typical evil terrorists. It's black and white, the GLA have nothing grey about them.
TD, Tib Wars and Red Alert 1 are all more realistic and serious than Generals, I'd say.Last edited by Alexander_O6; 11-02-2011, 02:49 AM.

This topic makes no sense at all.
You heard, you suppose...
After one year of VG studio started working, they are looking for ideas?
If this is true, please EA, sell C&C to Petroglyph, please.
