    what is the best nuke animation and sound wise in your opinion in any rts game that youve seen and why do you think its the best.

    I liked both Generals and YR nukes, YR nukes produced a global flash and left green fallout while Generals nukes where very cool in terms of particle designs.

          I have seen nukes in many games.

          Every C&C except 4.
          Every Civilization game.
          Warfront:Turning Point.
          Axis&Allies
          StarCraft 1 & 2

          And that's really the tip of the iceberg.

          Through it all, only the Civ nukes seem realistic to me, and thus earn my approval. Especially in Civ 4 where you could use a stack attack, and get bigger explosions with the use of multiple stacked nukes.

          The big problem I have with C&C nukes is that you tend to get the mushroom cloud, then the explosion. The explosion should come first.

            best nuke was probably in TD

              I liked the original Supreme Commander nukes. The scale in that game was so vast, that the nukes had to be somewhat more realistic in terms of the size and scale of the detonation.

                    Visually best: Generals nuke
                    Most powerful: Tiberian Dawn nuke in campaign

                    Something awesome between those two... RA2 nuke.

                      I think the best one would be that everything inside the blast radius is actually blown away, not just collapsing/crashing/falling or whatever it does normally when destroyed.

                        Here are my top 3 nukes-

                        Crysis 1 multiplayer - both the portable nuke and nuke tank
                        World in Conflict - very impressive when used, widespread destruction
                        C&C Generals - also quite awesome
