  • C&C The First Decade problem

    #1
First of sorry if I put this in the wrong fourm. This says The First Decade so that is where i will post. I have "The First Decade" game disk, and Tiberian Sun wont work. It tells me "one or more DDL Files are missing or damaged." Please Reinstal. I did that through the add/remove and it still say that. Now RA and CNC 95 run fine but not Tiberian Sun. I downloaded the 1.2 patch. Is this a Windows 7 issue? Should I see if my DOS copy of CNC runs ? Thanks for the help.

Well, usually Windows 7 users, me aswell, have trouble with TFD. In my TFD, only working games are Generals + Zero Hour.

But, if you want to play Tiberian Sun, try downloading it from CnC-Comm here http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/in...a=view;down=41

    That worked well for me.

If your system is running a 64-bit Win7, then DOS C&C won't work unless you use an emulator like DOSBox. All 64-bit Windows versions refuse to run 16-bit (DOS/Win3.11) programs.

I used to have that DLL message but I got rid of it. Here's how go into the TFD folder then click on the tiberian sun folder then right click on the second tiberian sun application and press properties, when that window pops up set the compatibility to windows XP, and click the check box for run as administrator. Then after you are done with that right click on the application select Run as Admin and it should work.
