  • Need advice finding the right monitor

    So I've been a C&C fan ever since Tiberian Sun came out, and I still play many of the C&C games on a regular basis. However some time ago my old monitor broke (i dont know which type unfortunately other than it was a flatscreen lol) and I now own a ProLite E2208HDD from Ilyama and im not too happy about it. Whenever I play games like TS, Ra2 or even Generals, "jaggies" appear. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaggies) I'm guessing its because its a Full HD monitor because my old monitor didnt have any problems with jaggies. So I'm looking for a monitor that is able to play these type of games in all it's former glory. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    So, basically you just want to enable smooth stretching to lower resolutions on the monitor? That's usually just a driver or monitor setting, you know.

      Yeah that's what I want thanks, I did update my drivers and tweaked with the settings on NVDIA Control Panel (own a G-force graphics card). That helped with Generals at least. Then I tried my monitor, I found out it uses a dvi (digital) connection and not the d-sub (analogue) connection. Would it help if I get a cable to put the monitor on d-sub for games like Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2?
