Yes, I am indeed proud to announce the very first release of Red Alert 3: Revolution!

With literally thousands of changes, including many audio/visual improvements, new maps, existing gameplay modifications and new units, Red Alert 3: Revolution is the most comprehensive, yet faithful reworking of the core Red Alert 3 gaming experience out there!

You will find the download on Revolution's ModDB profile, with a choice of either automatic or manual installation:

    RED ALERT 3: REVOLUTION V1.0

There is also an optional Map Pack, containing an additional 31 maps, thanks to Speeder and Acid-Cr@sh. Also included are the remaining maps from Red Alert 3: Uprising, as well as the bonus maps from Red Alert 3. Once again, there is a choice between manual and automatic installation:

    REVOLUTION MAP PACK

Check out the ModDB profile for support and future updates!

Thanks TX! After waiting all this time waiting for it I can say it was definitely worth the wait!

I know you just got done with 1.0, but do you plan to do any future versions? If you do plan to, I'm getting back into RA3 mapping, so feel free to use my maps.

Lastly, my one friend was wondering if you have a changelist for the mod.

Oh yes, I've already made a number of changes. I imagine there'll be an update some time within the next few weeks.

I'm still working on it. I wasn't kidding when I said there have been literally thousands of changes!

Once I'm assured that there are no major 'gamebreaking' bugs, then we might see a source release. Believe me though, at 2GB there's a lot of mess to sort through!

That shouldn't be much of an issue here, since I am a rather experienced modder for the SAGE games, namely CNC3 and RA3.(currently working my butt off on my CnC3 personal mod and testing new things)
Anyway, good luck with your project!

BTW why the sudden surprise appearance(and after a long time of absence) lately? Must be that summer vibe...

Truth be told, a few years back I got stuck on an incredibly frustrating MCV bug that almost caused me to cease work on the mod completely.

I had a breakthrough early this year, however, and so I powered ahead to release it as fast as I could!

Did you ask anyone for help about that issue? Seems strange having an issue not resolved in these years. Though at the time of your issue the only one I would trust solving a major issue in RA3 was Bibber as the others (Golan for example) were only active in the TW sections.

That would have been the next step. Back then I had a very vague idea of how I could go about solving the problem, but I assumed it would have required an insurmountable amount of effort to fix.

Suffice to say, after taking a rather long break I did manage to solve the problem. It involved huge pieces of the model (seemingly unrelated to the contact points) mysteriously disappearing during the MCV unpacking animation on red/yellow health, only to suddenly reappear after being unpacked. I'm still not sure exactly why it happened, but my ad-hoc solution seems to do the trick.

                    Good to see its fixed.

And now to the AI not using T4 tech problem... yeah theres more work to be done I can see... :O
Did you ask bibber or some other expert about this problem yet? Might help.
I just hope its not a hard-coded issue that can't be fixed.

I also had a problem implementing the a new form of upgrade into the AI. They just don't seem to build it in any condition.
However, implementing it in the build order does work, but creating a new state for it was the problem.

Well.. anyone wants to set up a time and play a Multiplayer match?

                          Good mod, good mod...

Sadly I can still see the AI can't properly use all the tech yet... kinda sad since I would love to see all of em on the battlefield.

When I installed the map pack into the folder and opened the game, I did not see all the maps come up when I went to skrim..AM I missing something?

Did the installer place the maps in the right folder? By default, the location of maps folder is either:

                              - Windows XP:
                              C:\Documents and Settings\[USER_NAME]\Application Data\Red Alert 3\Maps\

                              - Windows Vista/7:
                              C:\Users\[USER_NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Red Alert 3\Maps\

If they installed correctly, there should be 31 map folders. If the folder is empty, try downloading the Manual Install version and following the installation instructions in the readme file.
