Tiberian Sun/ Firestorm was the best RTS in its time. It brings nostalgia when you play it and you can't help but praise Westwood studios for a job well donw. It may not be perfect but it's DAMN CLOSE. I only wish that Tiberian Sun/ Firestorm would be recreated with the new graphics that we have today like in Tiberium Wars. That would be very awesome. Think about how cool the Core Defender will look with the latest graphics. And the Mammoth Mk. II will look very awesome with the Titan and the Wolverine and those Tiberian Lifeforms!

To me Tiberian Sun/Firestorm was a really good game. Pity lots of others did not like it including my wife. Yeah I would like to see the game redone with new graphics/mechanics etc to suite today's computers. Yeah even include the early version Crawler (Fist of Nod) in the campaign so I can go hunting Harvesters again.

Well, a mod called Command & Conquer Rewire is in works, it's Tiberian Sun converted into Yuri's Revenge, with GDI and Nod only, but graphics are definetly a great improvement from Tiberian Sun. http://www.moddb.com/mods/command-and-conquer-rewire
But to the original topic, I still think that Tiberian Sun is the best C&C game so far, it had a great storyline, unique units, and well made end-of-the-world feeling, or apocalyptic feeling. The game engines of today could be used to recreate unforgettable new versions of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, but since that is pretty unlikely to happen, there are many mods to fix that, such as Tiberian Sun Rising, Tiberian Sun Redux and Tiberium Essence (sort of, storyline is the same as in TW)

I know I am probably in the minority, but TS is in the low ends of my favorite C&C games. The story was decent, the atmosphere amazing and the mission design where great. The gameplay, stuff that was supposed to be in the game but was half-assed and the sudden technology leap was not something I enjoyed though.

I wish Tiberian Sun / Firestorm graphics would be like Tiberium wars or Twilight
I'm working on a really cool mod for this game called the Ultimate mod in Moddb. I made the Core Defender playable by GDI and NOD and also the mutants. Visceroids makes Harvester Hunting really easy.Last edited by Stephanovich; 04-30-2011, 04:40 PM.

In all respect to TS and FS, but it will not be so interested for me if it will improve only gfx =/ I need innovation in gameplay

^That's what's great about TS:Rising!
Tiberian Sun Rising (http://www.moddb.com/mods/tiberian-sun-rising/) aims to recreate Tiberian Sun and Firestorm with modern graphics and add many new features as well, such as a dynamic environment that is actively mutating as the battle goes on. I'm not sure if they are remaking the campaigns, or if they are just focusing on multiplayer. Either way, this looks like a great mod!

We are not remaking the campaigns.
We are, however, rebooting them. Hopefully turning them into something much stronger and better than the originals.
But, to realize that vision, we need Level Designers!
So if you know any, tell them to sign up.

I loved the atmosphere of Tiberian Sun, the units looked approperiately like they belonged in a dystopic setting, the music fit it well, and it really was a fun game to play. I particularly enjoyed the athsetic design of each faction, it was distinct and clear. A shame EA ditched the TS style; it really was pretty cool.

I'm looking to Tiberian Sun Rising too! My current profile picture has their wolverine. I hope they try to add an interesting campaign, but what is more important to me is whether or not they can implement their "changing environment" and Tiberium lifeforms. That was something that was missing from C&C3 that was present in Tiberian Sun.

They really don't need to remake the games because alot of the C&C community has made mods to update current games with stuff from the older C&C's. Tiberian Sun Rising is good example of that.

Hear! Hear! Leave the remakes to the fans. Just concentrate on making new classics!
( I do want more Tiberium though...
