  • Command & Conquer 1 secret base, in Tiberium Sun

    #1
    Anyone remeber that one?

Had to destroy some old stones in a hill or something and BANG! and old half-destroyed base from C&C1

Sorry that I can't show you a picture but it is a nice easter egg

I loved that. I was looking forward to something of the sort in C&C3, especially given the fact that some of the bases were explicitly stated to be around from the TS era (like in the first GDI mission), but sadly, that wasn't the case.

Now I suck at Easter eggs. Anyone can elaborate on it a little?

In one of the early missions in Tiberian Sun, where you have to recover the Tacitus after destroying a GDI base, you will see an old, derelict Nod base which has buildings from the first Command & Conquer game.

Ah, that one? Yep, I kinda wished I could build a first generation Flame Tank or 2, given how the Devil's Tongue was not exactly heavily armored.

Isn't there a Mammoth MKII or Titan wreckage on one of multi maps?

There is the husk of the Mammoth Mk II in some maps.

TS era bases though, I kinda wished I could revisit it, like how we saw the old Nod temples.

there was one mod that would enable you to build structures from c&c 1.

Yeah I too remember it, but there were a few. In FS in the NOD campaign there was one, and then like three in TS I think. Although I knid of wish there was more, like a derelict weapons factory or ADV. Comm. Center. Although I think it was cool that the Mutants did use the old Mammoth Tanks

There's a few of those. There's even an abandoned base in the first GDI level, but it's hidden. there's a destrucable cliff to the right on that one island with the hand of nod and powerplant. beyond that destrucatble cliff is an abandoned Nod base from TW1. I remember a skirmish map with those too. I wouldn't say C&C 3 completely lacks abandoned stuff from previous games. There's still the old watch towers and TW2 era GDI walls, and I've seen wrecked Renegade-style GDI TW1 APCs as destroyable scenery objects.

                          Something like that

In TS, the GDI final mission had three old Mammoth Tanks you could still use. They were still very powerful

The original mammoths from Tiberian Dawn make multiple appearances. In addition to the final GDI level that was mentioned, they're also seen being used as target practice for banshees in the GDI campaign (If you're fast you can hijack 1), and as target practice for the Mammoth mk. 2 in the Nod campaign. They're also seen in use by the Forgotten in both Tiberian Sun and Firestorm.

Some of the easter eggs in TS were great because they brought back memories from TD. And it would be awesome to see stuff from he old games to appear in one of the future games.
