  • Modding C&C 3 Tiberium Wars

    #1
    Hey everyone.

I just have a quick and simple question about modding this game.
Are you able to mod the campaign game speeds so you can slow units movement down, kind of like how we have the option to change the game speeds in skirnish? If so, has anyone tinkered around with that yet, or know what settings to mod to make it happen?
I tried using the skd and found some info on one file called GameData.ini which looks like it has a game speed setting for all singleplayer. Set to I believe it was 1.75 or 0.75 lowest saying 0.1

I thought maybe with this I could somehow change the games speed and slow it down a little.

Thanks for any help out there.

    Pretty Sure You Can...

I'm pretty sure can mod the campaign speeds. I've done modding on previous games like Generals and you were able to then. There should be no reason why you can't now

I sure would like that. Oh how I wish this was just simple xml and .ini files like the good ole days.
      hehehe

Anyways, yeah. After I bought CnC3 and started playing it, I just couldn't understand why they would leave out a speed option in the campaign. We had one in TS back in 2000.
ANd the speed that it's set to, come on....Just too fast for my getting old ***. It's funny, I've seen a lot of mods out there talk about slowing down the game, but what they really mean is just the income and building. Which is cool too. I just hoped I could get the speed slow with that.

They still are simple ini and xml files.
And yeah, just change GameSpeedFactor to your desired value and it all runs slower or faster.
