  • editing missions help

    #1
ive re installed TW, wanting to mess with some things just for the LOLs and every thing.

ive been editing some of the mission maps but some of them are ..... missing?

ive extracted all the files in the SP (single player) folder so im not sure what to do.

the mission i want to edit right now, is the GDI mission where your attacking with a strike team, a NOD production facility.

it has all the un-manned vehicles parked every where and when they explode all of them blow up.

i cant remember the name of the mission.

when i extracted the files, about 1/2 of the folders that were supposed to have mission maps in them, were empty/missing the file.

is there any other way that i could find them or what?

Empty folders? Looks more like an extraction problem. What tool did you use for extracting?

i was using the BIG Editor, i was also going to use it to extract buildings and units from RA3 and Generals/ZH and CNC4

i just havent done that part yet.

You could try using my BIG Extractor for extracting the maps.

Put them back into a new big file with the same directory structure like in the original one, make a skudef file and play it as a mod.

the quickest, less chance of some thing going wrong type?

i know lots of games where you just have to save X into a folder and that was it, there probably isnt a way like that in TW.

                            but are there other ways?

It might work when you put your maps just to [TW Install Dir]\RetailExe\1.9\data\maps\official
But this is untested and I can't confirm if it works or not.
