If you have C&C 4 Launcher Issues - READ THIS

For those of you with C&C 4 launchers issues, as in, you have trouble starting the game, please read this and please reply respectfully with detail and constructivity. Anything less will only make it harder for us to solve your issue.

FIRST THING - If you have a launcher issue, please post specific details as follows:

- where/when exactly does it fail? Before you login? After? Where exactly?

- can you repeat the error every time, if so with what steps?

- what country version do you have?

- what is your PC spec?

- please post a screenshot of the error if you can?

FINALLY, For some people who have a problem with the launcher not even starting we would definitely recommend you manually installing the .Net 3.5 SP1 framework and making sure that installs ( in case the install that’s bootstrapped by the installer is silently failing. ) This is a completely safe and ordinary software to install, so do not worry. Here is the link, it may fix your issue.

ok i have a problem with mine
everytime i start it up i get a big error message that i have no idea what it says
i have the US verson
im playing on a Windows Vista laptop
and i'll post a screenshot when i have a chance

Hey there,

Yes I am having some issues related to the launcher. The first line goes something along the lines of "Unhandled Exception : System.NullReferenceException"

The game has been working previously until today, just read the post above so manybe C&C4 is temporarily down then? It looks like it's affecting the news feed of the launcher.

Clarification would be wonderful Cheers

Hey.. I got BIG PROBLEM HERE TOO!!!! its not my launcher but when my game is loading for Campaign 6.. suddenly i disconnected and it says i got serous problem the C&C game crash.... how come??? what must i do now?? Pls reply to me A.S.A.P

-I log on, click persona, EA vids, window tells me to check my internet connection
-read above
-dual core, 4GB RAM, 9800Gt Nvidia, 4.0 NET framework...

Oh yes, and for some reason it keeps playing the intro vid with Kane and stuff every time i start the game

I bought C&C4 via Steam, everytime i login with my email, it gives me this error

also everytime i play c&c4 via steam, it always does "first time setup Microsoft .net framework" could this be an issue?

Bought the game a few days ago, but have yet been able to launch the game. Every time I try to launch the game this comes up: http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...S400/error.jpg

I bought the game via EA's website. I dont know what my pc specs are to be honest.....l..

i recently formatted my HD and now i cant get CnC 4 to work... i can install it but once i go to un it i get this

I have a dell 4700 its 9 years old but its got a lot of custom parts. 1 gig ram 80+ gigs mem nvidia 6600 LE custom video card with 500 MB of mem up to date dsl ATnT standard g15 keyboard logitec 5 button mouse
i had no problems with beta and no probelms befor formatting... but now i get this, ive still updated it and im still getting this.

Hello I also have a problem with the launcher.
- I've installed the game and Download Manager and newest .net. I click the start icon (from menu start). Then, system asks me to approve the Launcher. I choose to approve and nothing happens. I simply cannot launch the game.
- Polish version
- Windows 7 64, Intel Core i5 2500 3.3GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450, 4GB ram

Please help!

Hi guys,

Bought this game thrue EA store, since i finally have a great laptop, thought could run C&C 4 with all bells and whistles on.
Asus 2nd gen Core I 7 740QM 1.73 ghz with 4 gb ram, 1 gb ATI HD5730 vid card, Windows 7 64 bit , Frameworks 4.0 Net

And thats what the problem is, 64 bit Win 7 , cant run in Xp mode either tho, find this very #$%^%^%# ,most older games which doesnt run on 64 bit win, can run in compability mode ....

Is there another launcher which SUPPORTS 64 bits operator systems?

64-bit is not your problem. Make sure all your drivers are up to date including video drivers. Make sure to update your DirectX Run-time drivers too. Make sure Windows is up to date as well.
