ok a couple of things i noticed u guys talking about, i thought i would mention. SGist, u said Like if units would be brought in, instead of coming out, it's similar, and if the transport thing could be shot down while dropping of the units that is bad. this exact thing was used with nod in TD all nod vehicles were delivered by c130.

Eddy, yes there are wikki's in there but clicking on the GDI link doesn't explain to me the story of how it was formed, it gives me the facts about it being formed. I know i'm probably blaspheming the name of Kane when i mention this but remember it is just an example - Blizzard (pauses and waits for Kane's wrath) wrote stories to explain how certain things in their games came to be released. Some of the stuff you don't play or see in the game, only hear vague references to. Those stories for me enriched my game play of said blizz game, sure not everyone's cup of tea.

Something to add to community watch?
OK i got this idea from Diablo's post and figured I would ask the question. If you could have one segment added to the monthly community watch or website what would it be?
My answer: Lore - Every month post a story on the website that goes deeper into the lore, history and legacy of the CNC universes, A short story on how GDI was actually formed and the emergence of the brotherhood, while we all know and accept it hasn't truly been shown to us. Or even the chronosphere Einstein made to go and kill Hitler. Just some stories fleshing out the universe, to keep us entertained until the new game comes out. -

In C&C THE3, Artillery just shoot through the mountain, and hit their targets, it would involve projectile hights.
Also Deformable terrain features with different speeds on different terrains.
Sure it's a lot of work, but it would add depth to gameplay, but only will pay off if done right him him him him, which will be hard.
And could you be more specific in your thread titles?
the terrain was also destructable in Tib sun. although not the extent mentioned above. but a crater in the middle of ur base with no pavement was jsut an open invitation to nod apcs with cyborgs inside.Hmm... so ground level would play a major role in the game? I like that... it would also give a refreshing feel to C&C.

yeah the ending of Firestorm and KW had heaps of insinuation about the AI's. I felt that CNC 4 almost forgot about the current storylines and started its own thing. I would like to see Cabal come in as a faction of the brotherhood, especially if kane is back

what about some restricitons? like you can only call in one MCV per match but if you are down and out for the count after that you can still use your points to bring in units to assist your team mate. How helpful would it be if your team mate is getting attacked from two sides when all of a sudden 'reinforcements have arrived' sounds and a small strike force cuts through them from behind to come and save the day

dude i think youve got some awesome ideas. i would like to see you come up with a storyline to this. Flesh out the rivalries and even come up with some key characters to add weight to the story. I dont care if it never gets up this is an interesting and fun read.

I like the idea of a web series, or even tv mini series, some of them are awesome. I recently watched battlefield LA and it was pretty sweet, if they filmed it in a similair style to that it could work. I think you would have to show kane as the cunning, ruthless, enigmatic and charismatic leader that he is. starting with tiberium dawn and the cutscenes from all the tv shows and news reports. But gdi wasn't about democracy, gdi the global defence initiative was funded by the UN. All nations had their government still but GDI took on the defence side of things for everyone. they were not the government

When this is up and running you will have in your hands a way for the community to voice themselves beyond forums and you tube videos. You will also be able to bridge the gap between developers and fans. This is a brilliant idea and I think we should at least stop fighting before it even kicks off. Whats your play style?
hey guys, jsut a general discussion to discuss play styles. How do you play?
I like to take my time, exploring my tier tree and exploring the map trying to find out all the little secret nooks and crannies. Slowly building up my units before destroying the enemy with a pincer movement. usually by attacking harvesters to draw the main wrath onto my diversionary force while my main force rolls in the back gate. -
Zhen thats a very pragmatic approach and it might be able to work. they had it in tiberium dawn as well. in GDI mission six i believe there was a mission where you only had a commando and you had to blow up the airstrip, but it wasn't clear as the transmission received was garbled. if you blow up any building you get mission accomplished but it put you on an extra mission to get the job done if you did.
So over all i would love to see some more operational secondary missions, or some missions which are impacted by your deeds on the ground. good ideas guysLeave a comment:

Forgotten as a playable race in Multiplayer, with different mutants being equivalent to different vehicles and other units. for example a visceroid could be comparable to a nod buggy or wolverine, while some other big hulking tiberium infected things is able to stand up to titans. a mix between oldschool tech from Dawn and mutants, could be a unique spin on things.Leave a comment:

i like the idea of the pewter figurines and the tiberium statue would be absolutley freakin awesome! but what I want is in game stuff as well, unit skins would be sweet along with the ability to modify your own logo, not change it completely but tweak the nod or gdi logo as you like it. Also i dont know about anyone else but i want the whole techno soundtrack coming back. there was nothing better than zooming aroud the map with my stealthtanks to the sounds of 'do do i da" and "I'm a mechanical man"

the way you could alleviate the balance issues would be with a 'budget' or points system. where every unit, structure, power or ability would cost a certain amount of points and at the same time make some other options greyed out as soon as selected. eg, humvee and wolverine. if you choose the humvee you get faster with avg damage with less armour whereas with the wolverine you will have avg speed with avg armour and avg damage. the humvee would cost say 400 of your budget to put into the faction and the wolverine would be greyed out so it could not be selected. with the opposite effect if you chose the wolverine but with a different point cost.

One of my fav moments in cnc cannon was when slavik had hussan in front of his troops and everyone was chanintang and then BAM! Kane lives!! I was like awww yeah this guys means business. the penultimate bad guy of Kane. also when kane shot seth, I did not see it coming.ok im rambling now but a reboot could be cool

What i want to see in a new Tiberium universe CNC game
Before anyone decides to flame me for anything below, please note this is a wish list. this is what im looking for in the cnc universe. constructive criticsm however and other peoples ideas would be awesome too.
1. MCV's return - I would like to see the base building come back into play. With walls and concrete to stop erosion (ty TS for that awesome feature) this is taking it back to its classic style but i think a cool compromise would be little drones that hover around the mcv to assist it. for eg. Nod drones would have light powered lasers to help deter infantry while the GDI mcv would have repair drones to mitigate damage from infantry unitl backup can arrive.
2. Walkers - Ok we all have grown fond of the titan and wolverine. maybe the juggernaut. I think I agree with a lot of people when they say steel talons could have these guys. Mammoth Mkii would be sweet to see although it could be 'aged' in game so u need to send in engineers to repair and bring it online. I personally dont think nod should have walkers unless its the cabal defender, omg that thing scared the crap outta me when i first saw it. Was not expecting the devestation to follow in its wake.
3. Tanks - Tanks are used by both sides in various forms. From GDI's mammoth tank to nods light tank of various models. I think a slight revamp could be in order however. Nod could have a Light armoured tank that is fast but cheap (much like most of nods initial units) Maybe a new version of the tic tank. I jsut liked its versatility and felt it fit Nod's niche. The mammoth tank would be a must for gdi, slow and ungainly but my god the power. I know I seem like playing old tricks here but a medium tank for gdi that is not steel talons. something pretty much tot ake the place of the titan if our class isnt walker oriented.
4.tiberium - Tiberium has grown out of control again and blue tib is as explosive as ever. reutilising technology from the past harvesters once again prowl the landscapes of the earth.
5. The forgotten - The mutants from Tib sun seem to have been forgotten again since Tib sun, I would like to see a mini campaign at the beginning of the game which tells how they managed to survive the attacks from the scrin. caught between the four major forces of the CnC universe (GDI,Nod,Scrin, and those pesky visceroids) Unless ur a zone trooper or a cyborg you do not want to step into tiberium. you will become a mutant. maybe the campaign could be the tutorial for the new game.
6. Cyborg Commando - the one from tib sun was a badass. bring him back from a secret cabal laborotory so he can destroy the fascist gdi forces.
7. Class system - I like the idea of a class system where cooperation is key. Having one player play the defensive role and defend the base while someone plays offence is a great idea. with unique weapons, structures and units. eg. defensive power for Nod might be a global stealth for one minute with a 3 min CD while GDI defensive power could be Firewall generators to stop attacks
8. The ability to make your own Class - much like a tech tree would be laid out in one of the options menu and would only be available once the campaign was finished with a budget, you then get to decide which units, structures, weapons and powers you can use in multiplayer. Choosing different things in this would lock out different things.
9. Aircraft - Lets take it back a notch. lets take the skies back to simple orcas and vipers. the tw are capable of attacking air and land units with the exception of drop pads being available to gdi. Though both aircraft types would have to be upgradeable so as to keep the skies interesting. also a slight difference in the Helipads that hold them so I can put an engineer in my enemies structure and capture his tech.
10. Tech mixing - RA2 had some really awesome ideas implemented. From Garrison buildings to stealing technology. For example putting a spy in an enemy tech building unlocked something for you. I would love to see this expanded upon especially with EVA and Cabal (dont ask me why but i jsut love the personalities these two Ai's have developed) and the fact that one is inheritantly evil while the other just does her job) Or putting a spy into a hand of nod will allow GDI to adapt light lasers for thier Infantry while if Nod did it to gdi barracks, they would get a ballistics boost.
Thats all i can think of atm but if i think of anything else I will post it below. discuss?
