Yeah but we're not comparing tib sun to tib wars ;p. Remember that tib wars had a 3 tier system of basic/comm/tech with shrines being 1.5. Generals AFAIK was pretty much a 2 tier system having production structures with additional units added by strat center/prop cent/palace.
Kind of a silly suggestion though. Deeper tech trees tend to add to the game not subtract.

Deeper tech trees I'm guessing (i.e. shrines/armories and other structures)?

RA3 has directional armor. It's something like 10% bonus on the sides and 25% on the back. I really think you have the wrong idea what directional armor is about oompah. It rewards players for attacking from odd angles angles (AKA flanking) and gives reverse move purpose.
As a side note one could easily call attacking, flanking, and building units as far more strategic/macro than exploiting poorly faced tanks.Leave a comment:

Electromagnetic armor reminds me of the Steel Talons adaptive armor. That was a sweet upgrade.

I think its just you tbh. I've played SupCom and FA and don't feel an overwhelming urge to introduce that zoom function at all.

No one says they are. Accuracy values are pretty much the same thing as percent damage decreases. Essentially the game is designed where units do the same amount of damage as if they had a higher dps but with a chance to miss. This removes the redundancy of using a chance to miss as a balancing factor rather than using the much much more dev/user friendly mechanic of direct damage buffs/debuffs.Originally posted by 00margo View PostThats assuming the user is perfect.
Just for the sake of realism, every Infantryman isn't a sniper, they can't be accurate 100% of the time, compensating for the weapons kick and such.Leave a comment:

Amusingly the first thing I thought when I saw the avatar gunships was "Looks like an orca from cnc!"
