When Tribes Ascend beta came out many were saying "this isn't p2w , it's only in beta, we don't know what the devs are going to do"

EA is squatting over the plate, you're ignorant if you expect french cuisine

It's likely that you will have to cancel the order with the retailer you bought it from

So yeah, I agree with the original poster. C&C and its old community is dead. And I dont think I am going to be part of the new one.
The development team for C&C probably has none of the original people left over, none of the recent games feel like any love has gone into them. The same thing has happened to bioware, they're totally limited to imitation of their previous games and have no creativity left

EA isn't doing half as good a job suppressing disappointment as they did with TOR, the first page is all negative threads

Moderators instead of selling the games flaws as features tell the decision makers that these are things the community does not want. This is how good companies work, they get feedback from consumers and make a product they want to buy, instead EA is using its social media only to build hype over an inferior product that won't last.

It's common for a game that has little value to go F2P, look at TOR, no one wants it so they trick retarded consumers(children) into spending money(their parent's) on a "free" game

    1st problem:
There has never been a good f2p community, it draws in the stupidest players. LOL is clone of a game for people who couldn't hack it in real strategy

    2nd:
You offered one example of a non-P2W F2P game, but you are purposefully misunderstanding what P2W means.
It doesn't mean a win screen pops up if you pay real cash, It is more accurate to describe it as paying-for an-advantage, which you can do in LOL with rune pages and newly released heroes

Having played Dawn of War II, I don't I would care for a cover system, even in shooters I feel they make the game feel less responsive when the units have to go through the necessary animations(plus maps would have to be cluttered with chest high walls).

Maybe there can be "bonuses" given to units standing on a particular type of ground or give them a dug-in bonus like in blitzkrieg 2

If it was not Bioware talking about DLC I might trust them, but since after dragon age: origins their business model and general quality has taken a dive. DLC is inferior to an expansion because they are pieced out to get more buyers for less content and when they release all this content it won't be as good as if they had sat down and decided how to make the game better, balancing the new units, creating a new setting, and generally making a worthwhile product.

When some people like Bethesda say DLC, they mean mini expansions with no box copy(excluding the horse armor), but for the most part DLC means pressure from higher ups to squeeze money out of a game with out putting in any more development cost.

Also, its nice to see that this place hasn't suffered from what plagues biowares official forums

started a topic Generals 2 DLC

    Generals 2 DLC

You CAN NOT have DLC in an RTS, besides the fact that pulling out pieces of a finished gamed and charging the customer for it is stupid, it will ruin balance of the multiplayer which should be the focus of any strategy game.

In addition it is possible that (mark my words) the decision will be made to restrict player added content so as not to compete with the DLC

I had lost all excitement when i saw that bioware/EA was making/publishing this game and now its just getting worse
