For the past two weeks I have been wrestling with the newer older c&c's because they refuse to work on my alienware laptop. I have gotten c&c95 and ra1 to work just fine however with the 1.03 patch and the ddraw file.

When starting ra2 I can see the loading screen with the statue of liberty but afterwards I cannot view the intro movies. They are black but I can hear the audio. When I get to the game menus the buttons and screen are blank but I can still click on them. If I navigate into the game it plays just fine albeit it slows down a little bit whenever something explodes.

In tsun I can start the game up and view movies just fine but clicking on any buttons causes the next menu to appear corrupted. If I manage to navigate into the game it plays somewhat well but the toolbar glitches out and it slows down a lot.

I have tried installing 1.03 rev4 and also using different compatibility settings and the ddraw files. I've also installed the redist of dx9 but it has no effect on the games.

Is there a fan patch available to fix this? I assume the problem lies within dx because changing the resolutions around does nothing.
