Mod Noob..can't get mods to work

I WANT MODS!
(zero hour)
i have searched and found plenty of mods that i would like to play..

prob is i can't get them to work..


i have found several mod managers that have showed promise, but when i installed them they did not work..i have e-mailed or clicked their website only to find no website....

would like to play the generals challenge maps in skirmish mode
also found a tower defense mod that sounds fun..(it said i didn't have right version ZH)

and anytime i post a message to ask for help it gets ignored..whats up with that?

zocoms post helped me to get it working..it was the first time i saw to put it in the documents\C&C menu, not the EA\C&C directory..

but that still does not address the reasons why my posts get ignored..

i expect to be ignored by the creators..i don't expect to get ignored when i post a 'help me' post on a forum..
( another forum i posted on two weeks ago, still has not got any reply's)

so anyway..

now to find the ZH generals challenge maps that i can play in skirmish mode.
(i downloaded zocoms maps for ZH and missions for ZH..)

and the tower defense that i had sucks..i set it to medium difficulty and set up my cannons all over the place and not once did the enemy come for me..

what are other cool mods you guys can recommend (links please)?

cncden.com has some cool maps and mods i havent played in forever and forgot how to work the mods myself i will have to do some research here
