not really, but at least the New Iron Dome can intecept GRADs, which still is a small benefit, despite it... most of the shelling of the cities of Sderot, Beer-Sheva, Ashkelon and Ashdod are from small homemade rockets- the Qassams.



and even if we could intecept those, the differences between the price of a Qassam (0-50$) and a Iron Dome missile (120,000$)... you do the math.

and when will those Hammas people ever realise, if they want Gaza not to live under the wrath of Israeli Air retaliations, they better just stop shelling us.

on the same note, moments after the much reveared inteception, a Bus in the Negev was hit by an RPG and a 16 year old boy is in life threatening situation when srapnell hit his head and spine.

so much for 2 Billion$ project ensuring the safety of millions of people, all it requiers for Hammas is shift its focus... btw, is it true that the war in Afghanistan costs the US 15 billion$ a month?

You know, ... if Isreal wasn't so helplessly underpopulated in comparision to the islamic anti-semits down there, I'd say we'd just take away all their weapons and ammo, explosives and all that and let them whack their heads with clubs. Unfortunately, that wouldn't be as fair due to overwhelming odds.

And you have to admit, Israel did a VERY GOOD job at making the enemies they had in the beginning grow more and more. With methods of thinking that are surprisingly comparative to something they greatly suffered from themselves (and never seize to remind others from, for good and/or bad). Nevertheless, that damage has been done and it doesn't look like this would ever end unless they finally get their heads out of their stupid helmets and start thinking for a while.

The solution is so easy to come by:
Why do people join the Hammas, Hisbollah, etc.? Because they have nothing better to do to earn their livelyhood.
Get them jobs and something to eat and to be happy about and you'd be surprised you little die-hard islamists would be left. And that is a proven strategy. Don't remember where it was done, but some british officer had the same concept and his bombardment ended, ... permanently!

I can garuantee that those people would rather like to have a fork and something to eat in their hand, than a gun or an explosive belt.
And with all the money you spend to buy weaponry and aligned technology, you could better the livelyhood of thousands of people in the heated areas. But nooo, your officials ather like to blow people up. I know, explosions are fun, but you people should really think about what your leaders are doing, especially if such an alternative is present.

So this new interception missile costs 120.000$. I don't know how much worth that is down there in terms of life-standard prices, but I think for that money, you could REALLY help at least 120 people that are likely to not fire a Quassam at Isreal any longer.

And now back on topic. My point stands. Money would be best used for bettering the livelyhood of potential enemies. Draining the Hammas/Hisbollah from their primary ressource, humans, AND increasing ones reputation would be the results. I am negatively astonished is hasn't been done already.

Except that it's Hamas who keep the money from the Palestinian people, NOT Israel.

Israeli Arab citizens enjoy and absurd amount of freedoms - like being able to threaten and spew hate rhetoric against the government and state.
But they don't lack any money and have less duties than Jews (like serving) with ALL the rights.
