Er...okay... Not sure what mtg or k66 mean, but I almost never keep up with internet slang.
Still, I'd prefer a straight Allied/Soviet deathmatch.

perhaps the campaign could be where you have the allies vs soviets and another faction.
but many other world nations are "up for grabs as potential allies to your faction" depending on the circumstances you could help them out in missions to gain their support, bribe them or conquer them. each country can give you bounses to
infantry
aircraft
navy
armour
speed bonus
range bonus
spesific units to build
special structures
special support abilites
etc etc
if say a country gives you a new tank it would get a paintjob to suit your faction
(im stealing the idea from emperor battle for dune with territories and sub houses and developing it further)
it would bring back the tactical map but where you attack matters to your army more(tho if you loose a country and suddenly you cant build a certain tank might not make sense but its a game so meh)

Not that there's any indication that the next game after Generals 2 will be RA 4.
