Does first decade work on a mac running bootcamp with windows xp?

Didn't have problems with TS either, never tried RA2 on Win7 now I think of it.
And there are some reasons why Macs can be good if you are a designer or if you like to program for the iPhone. Only Mac users that are using only the mouse all the time are that way. If they start treating it as an UNIX system as it is they usually know whats going on.

Aye. OSX has great lineage since it was based off Free BSD and NeXtOS. The way OSX handles memory and it's "pagefile" (can't remember their technical term) does make it much more efficient at poster/huge size/dpi designs. Their Cinema displays are amazing and handle CMYK color perfectly. And, you're right that if you're designing Apps (Copyright by Apple, Inc) for iOS, then you are better off on an OSX-based ecosystem.

I came over from the EA website in USA...

Yeh I know bootcamp is really just a set of drivers that runs windows but you would think that with the rising market share apple have that somebody may have done something in their own time or something to find a fix if it does not work...

I am not a apple fanboy by the way and apple **** me off all the time with incompatibilities but using an imac does have some flexibility that I enjoy over using a pc.

So it would be nice if somebody has purchased first decade and has got it to work to post something...

I know for some games i use poweriso or daemon tools and it still always asks to put the cd in even though it is mounted. This happens sometimes whether i have bought the game legit or dl when i am using windows xp with bootcamp.

Anybody with an imac or similiar device tried using first decade with bootcamp running Windows xp and got it to work with no troubles?

Apple's market really isn't rising all that much...more so for iOS than OSX. Sorry. And TFD is old, outdated software anyway. Why are you assuming that it's broken when you haven't even tried it or tried searching for it? That just sounds like faulty glass-half-empty reasoning to me.

c & c is one of the most popular games of all time...it will be remembered for a long time i'd say...bit like sonic and warcraft and many others...

For retail home consumers I would say yes for business definitely not but that is not what it is marketed towards...(regarding apple)

The masses prefer simplicity...the masses are dumb...the masses also like looking at porn and not getting viruses most of the time

TFD really doesn't cost more than a better-than-fast-food, but not fancy place for food. Is it really such a big deal if it doesn't work? TFD in any country is basically for peanuts; and a ton of places both online and brick-and-mortar offer some sort of return policy. And if you're really paranoid/cheapskate there are "other" options to try it out. No sense in coming onto the forums with that, "Give me an answer now, or I'm leaving!" veiled threat when you haven't done your homework yourself.

heh, I am a student not living on much...Yes the game is not much but i rather spend my money on other things...like housing...

I thought this was an EA website with EA technicians with nothing better to do except it looks like im talking on a forum of whingers lol

That is a rather simplistic point of view. So I shall reply by saying my post regarding an immediate answer has become YOUR problem! (as you replied and wasted your time )

Just because it "supports" XP or Windows doesn't mean it can run all applications on it. e.g. Nero burning software doesn't work and many more

Then call a customer service rep. If you want to speak with EA, you go through official channels; as with just about every company with a fan-based message board. Even if EA techs roamed this forum, is that attitude that you had in your first post really the best way go about asking a question?

Truth be told, if you were actually concerned about your finances/housing, you wouldn't be looking to purchase TFD, now would you?

heh I thought that they would look at that post and see the humour in it. Actually spending money on entertainment isn't wasted as it helps to sustain a mental equilibrium, for example study a bit, then play games for a bit as a reward. Spending money on a game that doesn't work on the system that I have sounds like a poor investment.

Customer service reps tend to be useless. You really think an engineer is going to stop work for 5 seconds and say yeh you can use blah blah on bootcamp. I doubt it. Forums are faster most of the time. You guys responded pretty fast! Thumbs up!

Nero worked fine for me on my MacBook...
oh and by the way: an iMac is a pretty poor investment as a student as a student who has no money. Oh wait, right you bought hardware from apple, thats why you have no money. Makes it even poorer in my opinion.
