I haven't gotten around to trying it for myself yet, but has anyone ever engineer-spammed before?

My favorite is the hammer tank. When I first played the game, I beated the enemy in 10 minutes with 5 hammer tanks.

This is true. What the problem he mentioned though, was a problem of internal consistency, not realism. Bribing a nominally incorruptible robot was inconsistent with the rules RA3 set up for itself.

Now, one can make any case they wish to about the sliding scale of realism in C&C games, and probably end with a reasonable consensus. But inconsistency is indefensible, regardless of precedence.

but if it comes to versatility :

    Flak Trooper

    Mecha tengu

    Spy

    Mirage Tank

    Hammer Tank

    Twinblade

and of course combat engineers and Terror Drones

Tanya has to get right up next to a unit to kill it. She's powerful, but easily killed if you keep your head.

Of course, stick her in a Century and paradrop her into an enemy base with no Coils...

Honestly, there is no 'most deadly unit'. Tactics are deadly. Agree with me or not, spamming is a tactic, and every unit, spammed enough will win.

Also, most units have weaknesses. Example, the Kirov cannot attack planes, so with enoug Air to Air units, they are useless. But if you combine units, say Kirovs and MiGs - you can easily win. Though i also use Twinblades to carry Natasha and to take care of Ground-air units, as these are fast enough to get away from the kirov and attack again.

Also, a lot of people saying Centuries? Those are fairly weak. Yes, they have bombs and can carry infantry. But they have to rearm. And, as all bombers, they have no Air-Air weapons, so Apollo's/MiGs/Jet Tengus can take them out easily. And the infantry in parachutes are extremely vurnerable to AA weapons, so they can be killed before they hit the ground.

So I say, don't rely on just one unit, because if you doe, your enemy may use this against you.
