RA2 YR not working under W7, just black screen, music and nothig..

Hello guys, I have a big problem. I am fun of RA2 YR game from beginning and I use to play it on my machine (laptop). Now on I brought new laptop with Windows 7 Home premium. I've installed the game, change the "run as an administrator". It's starts but than there is nothing on the screen, just music going on. I quit the game, start again, and sometimes it shows the menu, sometimes not-just black screen, so no idea where to click, play, cuz black screen.

- any ideas how to get the game fixed, please, or any idea where the problem could be?/Solution?? PLEASE??? :/

First of all,

1) Did you install RA2: YR as part of C&C The First Decade? If so, you may need to download the latest patch update.
2) Did you set the program compatibility to Windows 98/Windows Me?
3) Did you disable the Windows Firewall that prevented the program to run correctly?
4) Did you install the latest Direct X update as well as the latest video and audio card drivers?

If all of those four options do not help, post your System Specs log from Direct X Diagnostics (dxdiag).

The other issue that hasn't been fixed for so long is that the main menu for RA2 Yuri's Revenge is still limited to the 640 x 480 resolution. Resolution keeps on shifting when you play ingame.

Also make sure hardware acceleration is set to full (See google on how to adjust)

As a last resort from both of our replies, you could try the seperate installers Olaf made. See my support topic here on the two seperate installers: http://strike-team.net/forums/index....read-me-first/
