Question Is there a software program that can protect the BIOS?

As for that question, does anybody know if there's a software program that can protect the BIO?? I remember that even a Lenovo PC has an anti-virus being installed outside of the OS, meaning it can be run in the bootup and can scan for threats. But that special anti-virus program (Trend Micro PC-Cillin) is too weak to scan for threats unless it's a special Norton anti-virus program. So far I haven't even seen or heard of a Norton program that can scan threats in the bootup process.

not really. most new motherboards come with DUAL BIOS now though- DUAL BIOS is essentially 2 BIOS chips on the one motherboard, and this is the best protection you can gewt, since the second one will only switch on when the first BIOS gets corrutped

No, but the old bios programs will be soon replaced by UEFI. A select few motherboards have UEFI already.

it will be loong time before I am willing to go to UEFI.

I have spent too many years of my life messing around in BIOS- so much so that I can navigate it blindfolded for most variations
