The rest, do not. Also, the devs didn't say "on many occasion that there are no links between the different universes."
Rather, what they said was that they decided to keep the universes separate to avoid confusion.
Obviously, that didn't happen yet (the avoiding).

Kane is in RA1 because he would still exist in an alternate universe even though Tiberium never came. He just gives up on Nod, that's all.
