    Customisability

    Subject:

    Army Customisability.

    Description:

Basically, we tried to get this added way back in rev 7-8 of the Arena game, It would be great to have a DoW style customisation in the game. Where we could also upload different fan mad symbols and that type of thing. And create our own Army colour schemes.

    Positive Effect:

Well it would actually quite possibly entice Roleplayers into the game, and keep everyone more interested for alot longer in the game. NO MORE GREEN IS OP THREADS!!!!!!!

    Negative Effect:

Possibly need some type of in game moderator to look over the stuff being uploaded. Any other drawbacks i cannot think of at the min.

This is another version of customisability which would be welcome:

They do have equivalents but some situations could call for a different arsenal.
Bring back some older units but upgrade them to suit the current age. You could have a pool of say 1000 points and each unit or special power would cost a set amount of points, this would call for many new tactics and sacrifices.
It just never feels you have the whole armys arsenal to your disposal. This might sound like C&C4 but it would be implemented in a much better way, without the stupid counter system and unlockables. Another way to go would be the possibility to customize the units themselves, from weapons, engines, attachments etc. Sort of like in the StarCraft 2 campaign.

The use of older things are common in real life too, for example, the M1 Abrams tank has been in service for over 30 years.

    I'm just rambling :P
thanks to Zaptagious for the above idea

Allow us to use units from previous games, the tech doesnt simply vanish into thin air its impossible.

Could be like the emblem creator in blops except more strictly moderated to stop things like swastikas and other stuff that can be seen as offensive.

I prefer the Army painter idea, they used in DoW, it allowed both emblems and army colours. WoT also does this but only for the player who makes it.

I posted this in a thread over at General Discussion:

I support this. User Customization adds a different sort of depth to the game. Especially in a genre that can easily become spectator sports like RTS.

i personally fail to see the need for moderating a custom scheme, if people are that offended by it they can always leave the match that person is playing on

so you would be one of these who would use a ***** for his symbol???? or a swastika or something, also swastikas are banned in Germany as they are seen as offensive, that to me is the perfect reason behind having it moderated of sorts.

So when somebody joins your ranked match and he has an offensive emblem you decided to take the loss and leave?
