    smaller differences between units

    Subject:
    smaller differences between units

    Description:
in c&c3 a mommoth can crush a few scorpion tanks without beeing destroyed, because its much more powerfull.
make the game more realistic! one tank can be more powerfull, than another, but it should never be tree times mightier.
so the game focuses only on a few mighty units like the mammoth, avatar or threepod

    Positive Effect:
-the game would depend more on tactics, then on developing more powerfull technologies.
-more differen units would be used.
    -more different tactics are possible

    Negative Effect:
maybe not everybody will like that. what do you think?

    Media:
    no media needed

I'm not sure that increasingly similar units would really open up more tactical possibilities...

    Honestly that just sounds terrible.

It’s often said that “if he passes 20 without experiencing a woman a man will become a magician."

1:That wont go too well. One of the things that makes the units interesting in C&C is how drastically different they are.

2:I'm sorry, but firstly, who said in the future we wouldn't have super-powerful tanks?Secondly,I actually LIKE being able to steamroll my enemies with about ten Mammoth tanks (which in realistic terms is actually quite a lot:a Mammoth tank is like a slower, bigger M1 Abrams. Those tanks kick @#$).

3:That's not really true.Doing this would simply turn a Mammoth tank into a unit that's just about as convenient as a Predator tank, because while it would deal a bit more damage,it would be very slow and much easier to kill.Mammoths could be rendered useless.
There's actually a little bit more tactic involved in having a tank that can make up for how slow it is with heavy armor and heavy guns(and rockets;I want rockets on the next Mammoth tank).

    4:That's kind repetitive.

5: Damn right I don't like that,as you can already tell.
