    Rts + fps

    Subject:
    that C&C have some thing that like at urban assualt game, that you are at the base and then you can switch to First Person and control 1 specific unit.

    Description:
    Let's say that you at your base bulding defences and some another ****...
    and then you create a unit. which you can control from the inside and like aim with it and to fight at a battle with that excact unit.
    then you can control back the base and continue develop
    Positive Effect:
    1. More stragic gameplay
    2. having alot more fun
    3. can be use for campaign
    4. use it as a gameplay mode

    Negative Effect:
    more time to develop the game

    It's more complicated then how you put it...... There are numerous mechanics to discuss if this should be viable, among them how would FPS interact with RTS units?

    Directional and modular damage?

    How should be deal with structure interiors?
    Etc.

    You ned to flesh this idea out more if you want it to be discussed and considered.

    Uh, a hybrid of these is a no-no. Half-Life 2 Wars and a UT3 concept have attempted this but there's not much out there.

    can you show me some exsample of something like it?
    halo life 2 wars was sucks. but i dont think you get the point

    i like this idea and i think it can be awesome.
    i love renegade and TW and i think combine them will get a very unique game

    IMO, if you want to play an FPS, play an FPS. If you want to play an RTS, play an RTS.

    The HL2 mod empires combines FPS and RTS almost perfectly. Base building, research, squads, commanders, vehicle customisation (armour, number of armour plates, weapons, engines based on research)

    It's a very good example of a FPSRTS hybrid.

    Im surprised no one has mentioned that this has been done before: C&C RENEGADE, its Multiplayer was AWESOME (buggy, but AWESOME)! I fully Support this idea! the game had a perfect balance of good old fashioned C&C Strategy, and Resource management, but with the ACTION of an FPS!
