So The EVA unit capture by Slavick was really just for the Black Hand? Guess it makes sense. As for the organics seen in Cabal's forces in FS GDI 4, if it's not just a mistake I want to go with the implant theory. GDI didn't seem to be aware that it wasn't actually Nod they were fighting, and maybe Cabal had implants put in Nod soldiers to make them loyal to him, just for the purpose of making GDI think it was Nod.

They WERE Nod, at that time CABAL hadn't gone independence yet. However In the campaign CABAL as a side showed as blue, or that mission would seen weird having many red surrounding a blue CABAL Core, which is the only structure model color.

Hmm, that may be possible. I'm also curious about the time the TS Cabal was built. Is the CABAL heard in the last level of Renegade at the nod temple the same Cabal seen in TS, or was that a prototype model, with the TS cabal being built later?

I believe the game Renegade was between the first and second tiberium war. That would mean the Cabal you heard in the last mission of Renegade was a prototype of the Cabal you saw in Tiberiun Sun.

Renegade was during TW1. Now that I think about it, I think the nod temple the prototype was in was destroyed, so it must not be the SAME exact one as in tiberian sun. It would have been cool had they made Cabal his own playable faction like Yuri in Red Alert 2.

Renegade wasn't very serious, the menu says it takes place in 2020, there were personal ion cannon, railgun etc that shouldn't exist until many years later, the story has some inconsistency with TD (most obviously Kane survived after the ion blast on the Temple) and stuff like the photo of Apocalype Tanks in the showroom.

One article at PlanetCNC claims there were 2 temples in the first war, it also gives explanation for many other things. Well I can only say Renegade wasn't very serious, Adam Isgreen @ Petroglyph once revealed some back story about Westwood's making of C&C, the story was created by an outsider writer and they dodn't like it either. But for the CABAL question, it's up to you to believe when it was created, it dosn't metter that much, IMO the best part of that cameo appearance is it gave the full name of CABAL for the first time.

The first CABAL was damaged, and it is a hardware, there's no doubt it has been upgrade many times in the following 30 odd years.

The 2020 in the manual was a typo - it should have been 2002.

The story for Renegade was done by an outside screenwriter. But based on their stories.

Today, let's talk about base building....

I have a feeling that CABAL had plans to destroy humanity from the very moment he was created. He probably helped Kane create the Cyborg technology and while they were being assembled he put a sort of device in them so he can override them.

Also I think that CABAL's appearance changed throughout the games is because he may of had upgrades to make him a better AI.

I think Cabal was still truely loyal until Kane dissappeared and was somehow secretly wired into Cabal. Kane used his own brain patterns to create Cabal (Source: C&C wiki- Cabal article), and I don't think Kane would create something that would betray him. Kane almost seemed to be keeping Cabal in check and stopping him from considering going rogue. Cabal wouldn't betray Kane. No one can fool the messiah. In the briefing for Firestorm Nod 5 he said "I am the only salvation for the continued supremacy of Nod." That almost sounds like Cabal was still upholding Kane's visions for Nod, in his own twisted form. Almost like Cabal was purging those that were hindering Nod's progress (which was everyone) and trying to perfect Nod with an army of cyborgs loyal to a leader they're incapable of betraying.

Well I guess CABAL would want to unite Nod so that there wouldn't be any more fighting within itself. With all the Splinter factions that appear and have to be brought back to justice.
