You mean in addition to the visual appearance changes right? Because units and structures in SC2 have visual cues for their upgrades too. Shields and whatnot.

And much more fun and interesting.

And Kyang, while the visual upgrades in SC2 are visible, everything is usually so small when you're playing that you hardly notice.

Right, that's not really the point I was responding to. I was checking if Incia was just referring to the unit stats UI in SC2 as if it was better than having visual upgrades, or he meant that C&C should have that stats UI too, or if he didn't know at all about SC2 having visual appearance changes for upgrades.

    EDIT:
Unless you're, "just saying". In which case, yes, I agree in some cases.

I see. No need to apologize. .

Speaking of SC2, I just thought, you can't really see the other types of upgrades in that game. Marine shields, Zergling speed upgrades, and that sort of thing are visible, but there are also things like "Ship armor level 1" through 3 or something, and those don't have any cosmetic changes. At least, not that I recall.

its more about gameplay for sc2 than anything else really.

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '

But Red Alert 3 didn't have that very much at all (at least I can't recall anything). And also,in the other games, not all units had visual upgrades.
Red Alert did not have a single unit upgrade (except for terror drone surprise - a Soviet Protocol) and each unit only had one ability. CnC 3, on the other hand, had up to 2 upgrades for each unit and up to 4 abilities for each unit.
