    Good Anti-Virus Programs

I just got a new computer and I'm looking for a new anti-virus system to protect it. Any good ones out there. I don't want to use Norton because it gets to expensive with renewing it every year.

if you have a fast computer then go for it, otherwise it's need to stop a file from executing and scan it every. single. time. you open it will get on your nerves and make you want to smash your computer

should be thankful that programs like avast and MSE are freeware, yep, no need to pay for an antivirus nomore...

well if u want more, pay more i guess.

I have avast now and its pretty darn good, though MSE is also good IMO.

I actually had Avast on my old computer for a short time. The only problem is that it only lasted 30 days as a free trial until it started asking me to purchase it.

not for me :/ its freeware now, u proboly diddnt register it, just get ur email ready and u should be good to go for a year, when that expires, just re-register for another year, and so on... basicly, unlimited for 0 pay.

i had avast for at least 2 years now, and its still good for me, caught 15 viruses at least. :P

Sounds pretty easy but I will see how Microsoft Security Essentials does for me. It seems to be working and I'm glad I didn't have to pay to use it.

    thats the premium version.

premium versions of the "free" AV solutions are always gonna cost money, but will offer better protection against the harder to find and destroy malware, like rootkits and backdoors

Use Torrents? I know what you have downloaded. click my sig for proof
