file download in zip folder or exe form?

Is there a download for Red Alert anywhere in a zip folder or exe form? The only ones I can find are in notepad form (or something like that) and I always get the message "file is too big to open on notepad." No other program will open it, and as far as the limits of my computer go, these notepad downloads are utterly useless.

are you downloading the source code? i can't think of any other reason it isn't in an exe file

Still comes in notepad form. Can't be opened by any program, and all it does is take up space.

There's no such thing as "notepad form". You probably just don't have any application installed that can open ISOs.

Ah I see. I just installed the application needed to open it. I'll juts follow the installation guide and I should be okay. Are both campaigns needed to play the game?

Yes. As far as I know, the Allies CD only contains the Allied missions, and the Soviet CD only contains the Soviet missions. Same for the briefing videos.
