Thumbs down I'm glad I only paid 19 bucks for this

I have been looking for a game to play. I was playing Starcraft 2, but it's grown a bit old, so I figured I'd come back to C&C. I always loved the C&C series. I've played for years, but hadn't bought the most recent game CC4.

Wow. This is just bad. The game resembles nothing like the old games. I realize that RTS games are now moving toward the Starcraft model - Meaning Multiplayer - eSport stuff ~ But did anyone tell them that SCII had a real solo mode. Wow, this is just bad. No harvesting. 50 unit max. (50 supply)

I'm just glad I only paid 19 dollars for this. I'm not going to be buying a new CC. I guess like other great games from when I grew up, new people took over and destroyed them. (Final Fantasy also died.)

Wow... This is just bad... What were you thinking?

I can really only suggest that the next time you buy a game, you research it a bit more before laying down the cash.

On that note, before saying, "I'm not going to be buying a new CC.", I think it's worth at least taking a look at what the next C&C would be like before counting it out completely, right?

Yeah he should have done a bit of research and had a look before laying down his cash. Plenty of people have uploaded their games on youtube so others can have a look. In case someone is reading this and is considering the game then have a good look at this example of a mission and done in 3 parts on youtube.

    No,

I'm glad I didn't buy the game when it came out at ~ 40+ bucks. (I have no idea what it's launch price was - I just know this was in the 19.99 bin at Best Buy). My point is I'm happy I only spent 19.

CC was such a great and storied franchise. What they did to CC4 is much like what SE did to Final Fantasy or what happened to the Star Wars MMO. Just a complete lack of designers having any idea what made the game fun, new, or exciting.

From what I've seen so far, I get one of three command units that can then produce about 10 other units. There is no resource management. There is no base planning. There is no base defense. There is little (if any) production.

It's completely mind boggling that CC would produce game after game under one main theme/style - then suddenly release the final game (in the Kane Series) that is completely different. It's like buying a Madden Football game only to discover that everything you liked about Madden Football has been changed to the point that it's no longer recognizable.

    Sad.
