Thumbs up C&C Red Alert remake mod for RA3 released

RA1 was my favorite C&C game and still is today.
RA1 was possibly the best and most popular C&C of all time.
RA1 had the best music soundtrack of the C&C series thanks to Frank Klepacki.
RA1 had Kane and Einstein before everything changed.
RA1 had a hi-res resolution available but no real unofficial patch yet after several years.
RA1 had remakes on C&C2 and RA2 but lacked SP campaigns.
RA1 had been an official freeware game by EALA when RA3 was released.

After a year of their epic mod release "The Forgotten" for C&C3, CNCLabs has once again released another epic mod for Red Alert 3, the remake of what was once Westwood's best C&C game, C&C Red Alert. Named as "The Red Alert", this Red Alert 3 mod featured all the units, structures and textures from RA1 and even from the RA1 expansions all converted to 3D style. Yes, the ore harvesting and the old traditional building style has returned. The epic music from RA1 is also back as well. However...... the cartoonish graphics in RA3 with V-sync feature on high (which shows the yellow highlighting on all objects on the field when selected) is still unacceptable.

    Version 1.1 Patch: http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-red-al...-red-alert-v11 (requires TRA 1.0)
Note that RA3 Patch 1.12 is required to run this mod.

This just happens to be the second C&C game to be fully remade and done (the first one was Renegade-X). I already decided to call this game the C&C mod of the year.

The Medium tank seems hopelessly inferiour to the Heavy tank from what I saw in the first Yay-session I just had. Like 2:1 ratio is still favourable for the Soviets.

But the Light tank seems to be a real killer vs anything that isn't a tank itself, I like it.

It has been requested before, but that'll take an extra two years for the devs at CNCLabs to do this. I highly doubt they will go for it.
